This was unreal, not just the tips but the production of the video and voice over - really loved it! Thanks a lot

Finally, a teaching video where the voice has a great quality, not rushed, but clearly understandable. So people with no English mother tongue can understand, and can focus on the content instead of focusing on understanding the narration. Thanks! Subscribed. :)

I have to be very very honest! This was far by one of the best educational video on tips and tricks! I didn't know almost 90% of the tricks you showed! Most of them are such a time saver! Especially the 'copy frame directly' trick, damn! Great job and you deserve a like and a subscribe ❤️❤️❤️

Re scrubbing, you can also change the scrub speed by moving the mouse vertically away from the text field as you scrub (a bit like video scrubbing on iOS)... the double-headed cursor arrow will change size as you do so.

Wish I knew how to use grid constraints resizing within a component without turning it into fixed dimensions frame. I'd like to keep "hug contents" for height so I could past several instances inside an auto-layout frame one under another and make the whole column responsive.
@moonlearning2 жыл бұрын
You can totally do that with nested auto layout, then set the margin to the gutter and place the parent frame with left-right constraints into the grid! I will have a deep dive course on that on www.moonlearning.io in a bit

Great presentation. SUper pace and most of the english even I understand ;-) Two questions: 1. is the method left + right with grid more useful than AutoLayout? 2. organization of the components. Unfortunately I didn't understand that completely. At 5.43. What is organized here when I move icons into a button frame?
@moonlearning2 жыл бұрын
1. It is basically the difference between constraints (with left+right you use constraints and the grid becomes the parent container) and auto layout. There is no better or worse, it depends what you are after. You could setup your cards (as in my example) with auto layout and then place them with constraints within the grid. You can fake a grid with nested auto layout but it hits its limitation when you want to use uneven numbers, lets say you want your text to occupy 8 out of 10 columns, you cannot test this behaviour with auto layout alone. 2) try it out! make two frames, name then and add a component. Make sure to open the assets tab then move the components between the frames and you will see that instead of "/" naming it simply takes the name of the frame. Hope that helps! I will have two new courses on moonlearning.io soon about auto-layout constraints and responsive design as well as working with components where I will go into more depth make sure to sign up for the newsletter.

@@moonlearning WOW - Thanks for detailed answer ❤️ I would like to try this. Figma brings very good features. Unfortunately, not always explained optimally. And often without describing the disadvantages or EInschränkungen. Especially when you want to bring new features to existing kits. I'm currently biting my teeth to work with the component properties. Also, thanks for the very clear language and quality. Something like this is rare

oh sorry to take away the joy right away (or add more probably!) this is already outdated because there was an auto layout update and you can now relative position elements. I wrote an article and its number 9 medium.com/user-experience-design-1/new-figma-auto-layout-in-5-min-b68cc1b6941f

2022 and something as basic as page folders are still non existing in Figma. Still those neverending pages with no organising. Adobe will fix this when it gets part of CC I hope.
