ONE HOUR into the clip and I am already light years ahead. This makes me wanna VENMO or something you, because it is masive work and learning that you have put into. And making it free is beyond gracious. Literally have no way of thanking you enough, you have made me want to edit again, after giving up because of the complexity and all the 100$ courses(living in a country where I get this much for seeral days of work). AGAIN MASSIVE THANK YOU, U ARE THE BEST. CHEERS AND HAVE A WONDERFU DAY :)

I'm 45 minutes into this, and I can already say that this is by far the most useful collection of PP techniques and functions presentations that I have found on YT ever. Particularly if you have already started working with PP but feel totally lost about best practices and the absence of your editing muscle memory, this seems to offer a ton of inspiration to develop your own style. Nothing like: "This is a must do!" Instead it calmly explains functions and shows you enough to start your own thought process about potential application. Absolutely love it!

Oh, and BTW: +1 (or rather +10) for not flooding the video with unnecessary generic background "music" that I would mute within 2 seconds on any other encounter outside of YT tutorials. Silence is golden.

Well said. That’s what I’ve been looking for. Other ppl be showing off (which is cool) or some just be explaining way too much and go off topic.

Frame blending isn't useless if you know when to use it. Basically, what it's doing is a cross dissolve except it's doing it in between every single frame to avoid duplicate frames. So when low frame rate footage is slowed down, rather than having duplicate frames, it creates a new frame that's a blend of the two on either side of it. Optical flow, on the other hand, is basically like Photoshop's content-aware fill. It's using computer algorithms to guess where each pixel should be and recreating new frames where the duplicate frames would be.

Without doubt this could be the best premier pro tutorial on the entire Internet… Most tutorials are complete crap. You are a breath of fresh air. The problem being… After years of using premiere Pro I have finally given it up for an infinitely better program… Da Vinci‘s Resolve 18. It really makes premiere Pro look like a toy. And you are so good at what you do I am amazed that that’s not your program of choice. But for those of us who really need to be using premiere Pro… You are the go to tutorial guy. But I recommend to anybody who is smart and willing to deal with a bit of a learning curve… Switch to Resolve. You won’t be disappointed.

Hi Dave, thank you so much for uploading this video, extremely helpful in my preparation for the ACP exam. 🚩Just wanted to ask you or if anyone shared the same issue, the video seems to be stuck between , while I can hear you perform functions regarding audio compression, I felt a little lost there for a minute. Audio and colour correction are the 2 subjects that I have been struggling with in my 12 years of working on Premiere Pro. Your video has cleared up a lot of my doubts that even my co-workers could not fill me up on. Really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and I look forward to learning a lot more from you. Cheers!

as a performer myself, used to perform hip hop and do live shows improv, a freestyle emcee if you will, and now that i'm coming over to the filmmaking side and learning about movie beats, i totally get your rhythmical tapping. when i first started editing, i was dropping everything on the fours, but understanding the flow of music i switched up my editing style and been dropping to the the beat like i''m in a freestyle. the advice you dropped makes a lot of sense my dude. diggin your breakdowns, def liked and subbed, letttttssss goooooo!

I learned the basics for Premier Pro and After Effects from Dave Bode’s previous tutorials. I must say if it wasn’t for those, I think it would’ve taken me much longer to grasp the basics, since other tutorials don’t go so in depth and feel a bit rushed. Can’t wait to watch this one and learn something new. Dave is the man! 😁 Cheers from North Macedonia 🇲🇰

Thank you for your effort put in this video. It's one of the best and more complex tutorials I've ever watched! I've been using Premiere Pro for many years but I've learned a lot although. Most of the stuff you have shown I didn't know or didn't use. Your After Effects tutorial for begginers is also great! I'm sending greetings from Prague!

❗the best course for understanding daily processes and ways to solve them. I really liked how the issue with the drifting sound was highlighted. This is a headache with multi-camera sound processing. When at the beginning of the year, then the desynchronization, then the buzz again. It's excruciating. Here, you have perfectly considered the possibility of solving this problem.
