Nice. Thanks for showing and explaining these "hidden" functions. For anyone really wanting to get into railings I would also recommend Tim Waldock's Revitcat blog posts about "Weird Railing Stuff".

took me a while to find the blog posts, so here is the link: revitcat.blogspot.com.au/2014/09/weird-stuff-with-revit-railings-top.html . he's pretty in-depth on this and other topics (specifically been looking for info he has on callouts)

Terminations on stair railings take precedence on Top/bottom, rather than beginning / end, if you flip the stair hosting the rail, you will see the termination updates as well. Revit just use the same field for two situations

Use split on the places in the railing path where you want an extra baluster.

Hey guys! Great video! I think the work around for baluster height offset is unnecessary, can’t you just use the top offset in the baluster dialog?

Tenho uma pergunta. Is there a way to get the "excess fill length" banisters to not be started on the host base. The railing i am doing has a bottom rail at 3" and then 1/2" pipe balusters go up from it an a support baluster that goes to floor is placed every 4 ft. So on railing runs that are less than 4' it is filling in with with the excess fill baluster, which is the same 1/2" pipe, but revit it placing them from the floor. I tried creating a 'fill' baluster that started 4' off the base level but revit just drippoed them to the floor and they stopped 4" from the top rail, instead of starting them 4" from the bottom rail. i would really appreciate your help if you have any advice.
