It’s tough in a lot of areas! I drive an hour each way to both of the rinks closest to me. Get some good outdoor wheels, pop in some earbuds, and cruise outside in a smooth spot.

I just came across this video and It brought a smile to my face. I subscribed to your channel. 😊 I used to skate like this back in the late 70s and early 80s. It was such a fun time. I went almost every night of the week. It was at “Skateland” in Petersburg Virginia. This video brought back such good memories… again, thank you so much for sharing it and taking me down memory lane. We used to jam to “planet rock”. Loved it….I look forward to more of your videos.

⛸️ This reminds me of a similar skating move we did -early 80's The Bounce. Hips Left side bend knee dip/bounce down, come back up. Repeat move, Right side, in rhythm to music.. It was really easy and fun to skate!.I've just made a mess of it while trying to explain!!

At first I was like "meh" on the crowd. But these "mid key" nights are great. I would rather skate like this than in the shoulder to shoulder mad house. Nights like these you can take center floor and work on your chops, even the ones you don't have quite right yet.

My childhood/teenage rink Skatetown USA in my hometown of Fort Pierce, FL closed in circa 2018 sadly, but we still have Skate Factory in Vero Beach, only 15 min drive from me (where I will be this Thursday night for adult skate with my hubby and cousin!) and the best part is Skate Factory is EXACTLY like skatetown inside (the same company built both rinks, the layout is 100 percent identical) so being there does feel so much like my home rink!

@@marcorollo951 I absolutely recommend it! I just went for my 1st adult night skate this past Thursday and it was AMAZING. I can't believe how packed the place was, there was as many, if not more, people on the skate floor (and almost just as many off the floor at any given time as well) as in this video at that rink! I can only skate on inline skates so i have never learned to shuffle skate or anything but they did do a 10 minute long "shuffle skaters only" skate, and I assume they do that every adult night. The whole vibe was so much fun, everyone just skating all night and vibing and having fun together (and there was people in the middle all night doing crazy dance moves on skates lol), and the DJ was on point, playing hit after hit to skate to (idk if it is always the same DJ, it may not be, but i hope so lol..he played new music and THE classics to skate to including my favorite "lookout weekend/weekends were made for fun" old school song to skate to lol) ...it was only my 2nd time at a rink in over 17 years, as well as wearing skates at all even, lol. So i am still trying to get my balance back (im 36 now lol) and hopefully feel as confident on skates like when i was a kid and teenager! (im getting better, pretty quick, thankfully!)

You should try it. Family and regular sessions at rinks are great for beginners. This video was taken at an event specifically for advanced skaters - so don’t look at this as an example.

No, it don't work that way. They will use you as an obstacle. You will be part of the course. Everybody makes their contribution and has their uses, See? Just don't skate "on the outside wall" when folks are jamming hard.
