Building configurations is a great way to produce many versions of your design without having to switch between different files. With configuration, you can keep multiple variations of your model in the same SOLIDWORKS file.

Great video, with just one mistake at the end. You can actually modify a feature in only one configuration. In your example you change the boss-extrude function and it impacts every configuration. However, when modifying boss-extrude you can select the box "This configuration" and the change will only apply to the current configuration ;)

0:11 why "without the use of design tables"?? umh, there are several videos that explain this, but i cant find out why one would want to not use design tables. i hope this question makes sense.

There appears to be no way to remove the added configuration that doesn't work . Wonderful software !

This isnt working . I create configuration , set it as current and make change to model . Nothing happens. The model changes and thats it .there is no configuration even though I added one . There are missing steps

Check your system compatibility, there are no steps missing.
