I think it was the sound rather than the band who ‘messed up’… you can see the clarinettist came in right on time but the microphone wasn’t on enough to make him audible to the dancers

I think it was a bit of both plus more. Clarinet started late, his mic was too quiet, drummer accentuated the start of the chorus that perhaps made others think he'd take 8 bars more.
