This is a handy-dandy little trick to get a better grasp on LOS. Once you get used to it, you can cut your LOS into smaller segments making it much easier to visualize the long shots.

Beginner in ASL and I’ll say this is the most dope thing out there for determining LOS. 👍🏻

Astonished. At first I thought "WTF", but your proof checking with the string was convincing. Kudos. Thanks for the preparing and up-loading this video.

I played hundreds of hours of ASL between 1988 and 1992. One of the side effects is that I used to see my local countryside (I lived in ireland) in terms of ASL gameboards.

LOL. So we know human at times feel "boxed in." In your case it would rather a "hexagoned in."

Nifty trick! I am a beginner to this game, and in the first example I was sure it was blocked until you put the string out!

I am sitting here trying to imagine the purpose of that comment. No matter how true, what makes you feel the need to share it with me? I just don’t get it. Is it an Asperger thing?

100% disagree, I really like DR’s voice. In this One it seems he’s more reserved and being quiet. But to each their own. Keep bringing them Derek w those soothing tones to help ease us into ASL!
