Because the ps3 was a pile of crap and xbox 360 was over 3x better all round. They all have xbox accounts, are use to the controller and interface so naturally, they go and get the xbox one instead of the ps4. If you're a cod pro gamer, all events are powered by xbox, Microsoft has a deal with activision for earlier dlc and all the big clans are on xbox so they can't change even if the ps4 is better. The ps4 is only marginally better than the xbox one as well where as the gap between 360 and 3 was massive so meh. Btw i'm not fanboying, i had a ps3 for 4 years and have carried on through xbox for the last 4 years so i have a more intelligent and experienced view on the two companies than most people.
