I had this exact problem and from experience I can say it was the most excruciating pain I had ever felt. A close family member of mine is a neurologist in NYC, he recommended aquatic rehab, and ice over surgery. I did not have access to a swimming pool as it was winter time when this flare up occurred, so instead I was told to use the bath tub. I would take baths sometimes two to three times per day (sometimes for 1-2 hours per session). I was 40 years of age at the time, and missed several weeks of work as a result (I am an engineer by trade). Within 1 week of constant bathing the nerve pressure was relieved, eventually disappeared and had not returned. I have been pain free for 6 years now. I feel compassion for anyone with herniated disk nerve pain/sciatica as it is truly a debilitating pain beyond words. Not sure about the other techniques tried in this video, but they all look promising. Cheers!
@Wonderwomanstarlight5 жыл бұрын
Cobra Power I hear ya I’ve been there too. Mine was herniated at L5 and sacrum. 4 mos of being bedridden 5 mos of pt and 9 most post injury I’m 95%. I’m so glad to hear you’ve been pain free since!!
@TheKorgGadgeter2 жыл бұрын
I just got over a C6 herniation in my cervical spine. I can't image many injuries worse than this. The pain radiating through the shoulder blade is excruciating. The inability to hold your head up (which made even driving very difficult). You can't sit in a chair for more than a few minutes. But the worst was the parasthesia. You can't do anything without your arm going to sleep. And it's front and center in your mind 24/7. So after 29 months of this having opted not to have surgery, two failed attempts at physical therapy, what cured me? Dr Johnson's homework stretch. It must have created negative pressure in my disc and caused it to retract. I don't really know. 29 months of a physical hell fixed in 1.5 days with just one stretch. And because my ortho said herniated discs tend to be weaker even after they have healed, I now do this stretch every time I think I've stressed or tweaked my spine in any way. Running. Sitting too long. Whatever. I was literally watching disc replacement videos when I came across one of his uploads. The guy saved me from surgery and gave me my life back.
