Has anyone tried to make a pin-fin-heat-pipe heat sink by simply using heat pipes for what are otherwise solid metallic pins on a plate? How well can that work if you use a large number of heat pipes with a fan? I guess I will find out, I am working on the project now.

Interested to see how it goes!

A cup of water can be boiled away in about 20 minutes. What is the flow rate of water in a heat pipe form the hot end to the cold and back? Using water at 222 degrees Fahrenheit on the hot end, ten inch in length?

I still don't understand the difference between a flat heat pipe and a vapor chamber, can anyone tell me? thank you very much.🙃

A heat pipe can only be flattened so far before it impacts operation. A vapor chamber often utilizes a different internal wick structure than that of a heat pipe. Email us if you'd like to discuss your application: solutions@1-act.com

vs. Peltier coolers??
@AdvancedCoolingTech
@AdvancedCoolingTech 3 жыл бұрын
Peltier coolers are great for cooling components to sub-ambient temperatures, but the back side still gets really hot. ACT has had many projects where a peltier device is used to directly cool the component, with a heat pipe attached to the hot side to move the heat to a remotely located condenser.

heat pipe requres no power source?
@AdvancedCoolingTech
@AdvancedCoolingTech 3 жыл бұрын
@@daydreaminginventor-k8957 No, these are passive heat transfer devices. They do have a limit of passively working against gravity of about 12".

@@AdvancedCoolingTech i was acctually replying to the other guy on Peltier, i mean i totally think that heat pipe is much better since it requires no power source, by the way this tech is used on high altitude railway foundation to freeze soil so that it does not move ....

@@AdvancedCoolingTech sorry , 12 inches? or Feet? i am thingking about using heat pipe to move heat from top to lower part about 2 Meters ,
