Thank you! Yes, some things are hard to put in to one or two written sentences. So I had no other choice :D. I'm sad to say, that I had to sell my laser to make room for other projects. But when I have more space and money, I will definitely get one again.

How accurate is it? Whats the reason that you went with a CMOS sensor and not a CCD but maybe its just a label on the software 0:48 as the details does mention CCD . CCD sensor that usually creates higher quality low-noise results.. CMOS sensors are usually more susceptible to noise from the fact that each photosite on a CMOS has several transistors located next to it, the light sensitivity of a CMOS chip tends to be lower from the fact that many of the photons hit the transistors instead of the photosit. Got 3 spectrometers myself, though got a spectral resolution around 1 to 2 angstrom., but its primarily the visual range Im interrested in, as Im fascinated by light & wavelength / lasers and the physics behind it all. thx for the video, wicked build...

Thanks! I took it from a "third hand" (sometimes called "helping hand") meant for soldering. You should find it when searching for "soldering third hand" on Amazon.

Hello, thanks for the video. Question, how did you get the CCD to not be saturated with light? We are trying to do build a LIBS system similar to this for a school project and are coming across this issue
