Our program welcomes midwives from across the globe interested in developing knowledge and skills in the areas of leadership, social justice, and advanced midwifery practice. And, as an online program, students can complete the program from where ever they are located. If you are interested in becoming a Registered Midwife in Canada, however, I would encourage you to check out the Canadian Association of Midwifery's information on bridging programs for international midwives - canadianmidwives.org/becoming-a-midwife/#international, as our program is not an entry-to-practice or bridging program.

Hi! To apply for our program midwives need at least two years of full-time experience working at midwife (or an equivalent amount of part-time experience), plus either an undergraduate degree in midwifery or registration as a midwife in a Canadian jurisdiction. If you're in Ghana then you definitely can. Arts students are accepted. Just pick up forms for degree or diploma when forms come. But from experience I would be advice you to purse nursing first and u upgrade n do midwifery later if you still have that dream.

As a new program, we are actively working towards building program-specific scholarships, but do not have any available at this time. The School of Graduate Studies website does have information on scholarships available to all graduate students at McMaster University here - gs.mcmaster.ca/current-students/scholarships/
