Jabez was born disadvantaged. Released from Babylonian captivity, his people returned home, but lived surrounded by enemies, with limited resources and shallow faith. His mother, after suffering a difficult pregnancy, named him out of her pain. But Jabez teaches us that there are times when our greatest advantage is our disadvantage.
