Probably correct. Even if it is the "good version" of Diggs, I'd still take Curtis Samuel at a huge discount. Might even be better, ...the best QB Samuel's ever had was Sam Howell, ...after all. No offense to Howell (I actually like him a bit), but Josh actually has the potential to really get the most out of a playmaker like Samuel. Toss in Mack Hollins, MVS, and Keon, and I'd say we improved the receiver room, despite what some people are saying. Guess we'll have to wait and see, but I got good vibes with this unit...

I will always appreciate what Diggs meant to the Bills and to JA's development. But we have a half-season sample size of how great the Bills can be with a competent OC, and when they're not trying to force feed the ball to a high maintenance #1 WR. I honestly think this is going to be their best season of JA's tenure there.

I think this roster (at least the offensive part of it), has a real chance to be better than last season. I would honestly not be surprised if our record was as good or better, but the schedule difficulty has me thinking more conservatively. That said, this is quite possibly the most talent Josh has been surrounded by in all his years as a Buffalo Bill, so yeah, as long as Josh can develop some decent chemistry, it'll pretty much be time to grab some popcorn and watch as #17 continues to set records and produce highlights!

let's not overreact to that last stretch. Calling it "great," especially the offense, is at best a stretch and at worst completely delusional. We were just so desperately happy to get W's any way they came because we needed to win out to even have a shot at the playoffs, but it wasn't pretty. Aside from the Dallas game (in which they played a way they haven't played this entire era with Josh doing nothing), they squeaked by a lowly Pats team, needed Josh to make some superhuman improbable plays to beat the Dolphins, and really should have lost to a Chargers team that was playing a squad of 3rd stringers that would have lost to University of Georgia.

The Bills are receiver RICH! So Jealous of the Bills revamped offensive weapons. They lose Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, but put together a dynamic group of WRs. This is how a well managed team builds to win, unlike the hapless Cowboys that ain't moved past the 1st round of the playoffs since Christ was a man: Marquez Valdes-Scantling (4.29s - forty). (Curtis Samuel 4.31s - forty). Kj Hamler (4.27s - forty). Keon Coleman (drafted,) (6'3 inches, big sure hands), (4.61s - forty) - but he has that elusive football speed - Coleman tied for the 2nd-fastest top speed of the group while running a go route (21.71 mph), and Coleman was outstanding in the gauntlet drill, where he hit a high of 20.36 mph, the fastest time in 2 years. Mark Hollins (6'4 inches, 224 lbs.), (4.53s - forty). Chase Claypool, (6' 4", 238 lbs), (4.42s - forty). And they've got two really good tight ends in Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox.

Like Simms has said for a long time, Diggs' talent comes from precision route running but he's not a physically imposing/explosive player like most typical elite WR1's. Contrary to a narrative that has somehow stuck, he was NOT being doubled down the stretch. He was taking himself out of plays on critical third downs and teammates had no clue why. Fool me once (minnesota), shame on you. Fool me twice (buffalo)... ya fool me you can't get fooled again (apparently you can). Turn Kincaid into your potential Kelce and sprinkle the ball around. Curtis Samuel is a swiss army knife and when James Cook _actually catches_ the passes thrown his way, he's lethal. I don't see Coleman becoming a long-term WR1 but you will have the cap to fill that hole next year. Let him do what he's best at and make him a godly red zone threat. Shakir is underrated. And you have the most talented QB ever to play the game free of the constant headache trying to keep a diva happy.

My take. You guys said it fairly well. But I want to add to it. Ken Dorsey was ok, but not great. He didn't adjust. He tried to prove that even though they know the play, he's going to run it anyway to prove how unstoppable they are. This was wrong. Joe Brady took over mid season. NOT the time to revamp everything. So he ran the crap out of Cook because those plays were probably already there, just not used. And Cook flourished. Teams were not prepared for that. Brady allowed JA17 to spread the ball as he saw fit, not force feed. (Proper usage) It worked fairly well. Now Brady has had the off-season to design up his own plays to match the abilities of the players. Huge improvement. But the proof come when the season actually starts. I'm hopeful.

Both Allen and Diggs needed each other to progress. Diggs was not the problem even though he dropped a significant pass from Allen in that last playoff game of the season but he was that guy. Allen is definitely not the problem because he’s also that guy and there were some passes that could’ve made an impact towards winning that last playoff game. The main PROBLEM is that the Bills defense always comes up short against Mahomes in the end after Josh puts them in a position to win. Then this year all the kicker had to do was make that field goal to get past the Chiefs but failed and the defense was depleted this past season so they did all that they could. So you guys need to stop blaming Diggs for the Bills failures.

Diggs was absolutely part of the problem. He hadn't done dick in a playoff game since 2020. Both the last two years the defense dealt with insane amounts of injuries. How do you give Diggs a pass on dropping a 4th quarter walk in go ahead TD? He also fumbled his first touch of the game. He's so quick to point out everyone else not stepping up, yet he's getting paid like an alpha and objectively played like dog shit down the stretch. Good riddance.

The fact that people don't think this team can do the exact same thing to a raw talent like Keon Coleman is asinine. Could take one camp, could take two or three, but the goal is to develop them before their rookie contract expires and re-sign them for cheaper than any other team would get them. If they continue to shine you pay them. As for not having a No.1, Kincaid is No.1. Nobody complains about how Travis Kelce has been Mahomes' #1 for ages. I dont think Allen has enough to get them over the hump like Mahomes did (not to mention they still had Kelce drawing away coverages). Bills have Kincaid..... PLEASEEEE you try to run the ball boys.

First of all, "WR1" is a made-up concept. No coaching staff calls a team meeting to declare WR1. They're going to put the top 3-4 receivers on the field and call plays based on their strengths, and then the QB will target who's getting open. It's that simple. Secondly, Florio's comment on Dorsey getting fired after the Broncos loss is another ignorant take by a member of the media. Anybody following the Bills was begging for an OC change. Joe Brady is a creative guy and I think the Bills have a lot to look forward to. Same goes with Babich on the other side. Much needed changes to get some young, energetic coaches in as coordinators.

BS …… if no one is the number one target, *anyone* could be the number one target! Now it’s on Brady to put together all the pieces for different packages and situations in a hypothetical game. Then it’s on the players to do their jobs and execute. If these two things happen regularly, Bills could do big time damage (like they have been doing every year under Allen except his first couple seasons).

No more Poyer, Hyde and white….. they have been there since the Texan playoff loss…. And a big part of the defense’s demise… A new defensive coordinator. This is where the difference in the Buffalo Bills are going to be … I think they have improved both defensively and offensively by removing those players and getting rid of those five mentioned players

This narrative is so annoying. Diggs didn't become less relevant. They were using him as a decoy. A double team target. The team was basically saying it all year. The media reported on how Diggs being on the field draws the defense and helps other guys open. Now all of a sudden, nobody remembers. He was literally schemed out of targets purposely then blamed for it when we lost.

KC secondary openly mocked Diggs for saying he was doubled. They noted they never doubled Diggs, yet kept him to 4 for 11 in the first meeting and 3 for 8 in the next. In the 2nd half of last season, Diggs wasn't getting open against single coverage, and was uncharacteristically dropping the ball, which he hasn't done before. Diggs was also pulling himself out of the game quite a bit including on crucial 3rd downs. This led to the speculation that he was overcoming an unreported injury. And even with all that, Allen was still force feeding the ball to him, however they could, including screens which often didn't pan out. Will be interesting to see who gets the targets now that Allen doesn't have to force feed anyone.
@Deezy_Ankh
@Deezy_Ankh 3 ай бұрын
@Jerome-rm3iy just like I said in the end. We schemed him out of targets. I never said anything about the plan working. I said 'this is what they said they were doing' which is exactly what they said. I didn't say the other teams didn't make adjustments. I only spoke on what the bills said and what the bills did. The outcome is because of a dysfunctional coaching staff. Diggs took the fall. Just like dorsey before him (although I think we shouldn't have came into the season with dorsey again anyway).
@RageDaug
@RageDaug 3 ай бұрын
@@Deezy_Ankh That's just factually wrong. Where are you getting your data? Nobody was "scheming Diggs out of targets". He was still the most targeted Bill on the team. Brady's first 3 games, Diggs got targeted 8, 11, 11. How is that scheming against Diggs? Diggs was targeted 14th most in the league during Joe Brady's time as OC last year. Diggs gets targeted 11 times against KC, but only catches 4. That's not "scheming him out of targets", that's "scheming to make your diva happy, forcing the ball to him more than any other player on the team, even though he's not getting open".
