Okay, so as someone who played the original demo YEARS ago, the creator didn't make this for black people - he made it for everyone, and the first demo only had the PC as a character so no one was black at all, ie the original concept was literally just a speed platformer inspired by other indie speed platformers. It's cool to see a lot of black npcs but the title of this video is devisive. On the note of having played the original, this demo has a lot more content and is a lot smoother, but I agree that the UI is a bit much now. It's also nice to see how he incorporated environmental objects as enemies and added fast scrolling sections. I think he was aiming for Sonic Advance 2 pacing with it which is why it might feel slightly janky. One thing I'd say is to leave dialogue to auto run sections so it doesn't interrupt gameplay and that way there can be text boxes which are easier to read.

I just skimmed through the video since I was *pretty* sure the title was clickbait. Evidently, the title doesn't really get mentioned, but the gameplay looks AWESOME. Plus, it's on Newgrounds and Crazygames, and I love both of those sites. I'll have to check it out!
