What an excellent video. I really appreciate you taking this all the way through to the machine sewing also. I am new to embroidery and love quilting. I’m a new fan of yours. Thank you for taking the time to make your videos. Awesome instructor

Thank you for this super tutorial. I bought Stitch Artist a couple of days ago and decided this would be my first project. I've now got some lovely stippled 8" squares to show off as my first digitizing attempt.

Thank you it has cleared alot of the mystery of joining the quilt blocks.

What an amazing video! I especially liked the way the Stitch Artist design ---in this instance a 'built in' quilt block stippling design was explained step-by-step. Then, I was pleasantly surprised to see the stippling design actually sewn. The joining of the blocks was an added bonus. Thank you

I watched this video with great interest, as I am quilting on my emb. machine. If you are not quilting onto the back of the quilt, why do you bring up your bobbin? Why not just let it knot, because the back of the quilt will hide all the knots? And why are you not quilting the block with the back on? Wouldn't that save you from having to do the stitch in the ditch? I have different software than you do, but I am definitely going to try this on my software. Thank you so much for this concise demonstration.

Regarding pulling up the threads...personal preference. I prefer to have my back in one piece! Again....personal preference. I think this would work in any software, truly! Thanks for looking!

Oh, I see. I tend to make the whole quilt, with the back on, and then embroider it block by block on the emb. machine. I have a 12 needle and I put a tv tray in front of it to hold the weight of the quilt while I do it block by block. I have a very strong magnetic hoop, so the quilt does not shift at all. But I do not like all the knots on the back, so I am going to try to do it your way. I have not been able to find a way to bring up the bobbin thread. This machine just will not do it, even if you turn the wheel. I even called tech support, but since this machine was NOT intended for quilting, they cannot help me. I will try different things, tho. Also, I do not want to add stabilizer, because I already put on a light stabilizer when I embroidered the block with a baby animal, before assembling the blocks. I bought good cotton batting, so I may try embroidering right on the batting. I will do some tests first. I am still learning to digitize; I usually just buy my designs, but I want to digitize stippling around some things. Some of the Accuquilt Go dies, have matching embroidery, which includes the background stippling, so that is an idea, too. So many ideas, so little time!! lol Anyhoo, thanks for your video cause it really has helped! I have liked and subscribed.

Does this technique work with say a lap size quilt? How would you do that with SA? Great Video! thanks.

I want to create a quilt block similar to the block that you have created in this video. Do I really need all the functionality available in Level 3 to make this quilt block?

Jeannette Ugorji nope! Any version of Stitch Artist will do.
