Someone should integrate a slingfire stock on the grip area. That would make it a beautiful revolver rifle.

Mongoose, as always, awesome vid. Question, new camera? Man, i am loving Buzzbee's new blasters. Definitely picking up a few of these. Congrats on getting featured on Foamblast. Nice to finally see all your hard work paying off and you getting the recognition you deserve.

Yes, new camera for some shots including the workbench, trying to improve on overall quality. And thanks for the heads up, didn't know I had gotten featured!

Ok, I'm liking that there's potential here, seriously hoping some modders take this and run with it as it seems a better interface with the direct plunger (if I'm not miswording that?) instead of how the hammershot/storm/6sh are wired up. Potential for some more punch or range lurking inside? Oh and quick q- recently my revolution suffered an accident, beyond repairable. Would a 1902 be a suitable and as good replacement, or look in to obtaining a new revolution?
@MongooseJakeNerf3 жыл бұрын
There's some potential in the Thundershot for sure, mainly just needing a good spring that fits, along with a good brassed cylinder. Then top that off with a custom grip, barrel, and hammer and you've got a great pistol! The 1902 and Revolution share the same internals, so similar performance there, and same modding potential with either. The main difference is that the 1902 has a heavily solvent welded front that in my opinion is easily to just cut down the shell split instead of separating. The Rev is easy to work with overall.

Mine was off the first run of them. Still production but very early production.

@MongooseJake Have you modified any yet? I had a hammer break on one so I took it apart to see about printing another one. When I pressed the hammer pin out the one of the black rod pin holder holes separated at its seam.
@BishopGantry3 жыл бұрын
How much leeway does the back of the plunger have with the plunger tube primed/unprimed? How is the plunger attached to the plunger rod? See a possibility to extend the rod and move the hammer pin back about one third of a inch to get a slightl increase plunger tube volume?
@MongooseJakeNerf3 жыл бұрын
Lots of possibilities to be honest, as the plunger rod is connected to the hammer and plunger head with press fit pins that could be pushed out, and you could 3d print an altered version, new hammer, and with the way that the PT is in the internal shell even possibly do a expanded or lengthened PT. I'm seeing plenty of options, just depending on how much you want to dive in.

If we give it a stronger spring i don’t think the hammer or catch to be strong enough to hold up

@@MongooseJakeNerf good point, only reason why I say that is I plan on putting a cut down k25 in it
@MongooseJakeNerf3 жыл бұрын
@@GlowRiderzEntertainment Well, a K25 is going to break the vast majority of stock blaster components from any brand, so just be prepared to fix it!
@GlowRiderzEntertainment3 жыл бұрын
@@MongooseJakeNerf That’s what I feared, if it being too weak
@MongooseJakeNerf3 жыл бұрын
@@GlowRiderzEntertainment But that's not a knock against the Thundershot. If you jam the K25 into anything other than Rival blasters, and a few select dart blasters it'll break them without upgraded parts. Heck, Retaliators break on 5 and 6kg springs, with the boltsleds splitting in half where the breech mounts.
@froogy92183 жыл бұрын
Can it take a k26? Probably wouldnt get enough compression/just shatter
@MongooseJakeNerf3 жыл бұрын
I personally don't advise K26 for blasters, we just used them in the past because they were cheap and available. Now, you can get better springs specifically made for blasters.

That's definitely going to hurt the trigger if it's stock. Might even break it.
@connerturner5293 жыл бұрын
There's no getting around it though that trigger guard needs to go, doesn't matter what grip you put on it that's too tight of a transition for you to ever hold it comfortably.
