Hi! Thanks for your interest. There's a hinge, allowing for opening and closing the building. At 01:01 and 01:21 the closed configuration can be seen, while 01:10 shows the open configuration, that allows access to interiors. 01:34 shows the castle half-way open.

The "Mountain Fortress" was $380 in February 2024. This one has the same piece count, more minifigs but is smaller in size. Add inflation... It will probably be somewhere between $350 - $400.

Dunno if it's your choice, but i would have prefer some battling vampires instead of cook, maid, etc... We all know that most of buyers are male who like violence and carnage ! Only in LEGO. So why not try to satisfy customers ?
