Adventure Island 3 (All Levels, Secrets, Enemies, Fruits, Warps) (NES/FC) (4K)

Adventure Island 3 (高橋名人の冒険島Ⅲ, Takahashi Meijin no Bōken Jima Surī, "Great Takahashi's Adventure Island III") is a side-scrolling platform game published by Hudson Soft that was originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992. It is the third game in the Adventure Island released for the NES, following Adventure Island II. A portable version was also released for the Game Boy in 1993 titled Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima III, renamed to Adventure Island II: Aliens in Paradise outside of Japan.
Higgins can crouch, an ability he did not have in the previous NES games. However, he loses the ability to backtrack during a stage. Unlike the previous game, the boss does not move to a different stage when the player loses a life.
The inventory system from the second NES game is still present, but this time he has eight items to choose from instead of just five. Higgins has a fifth dinosaur friend who can help him out: a triceratops (summoned by a star card) that can defeat enemies with his rolling attack. The other new items include a boomerang weapon that can be used as an alternative from Higgins' traditional stone axe weapon, and a crystal that provides Higgins with one hitpoint when he begins a stage.
There are different hidden rooms as well, such as a treasure room where Higgins can choose a new power-up, a surfing bonus round, a room containing a crystal (with an option to continue the level or skip it), and a room with the option of skipping a boss (which will also skip the stage) or not.

Holy shit, this is an amazing run. You nailed each and every boss perfectly. As a kid I played this game relentlessly and only got to the final boss once... And I was so scared of the aliens, I couldn't play. Later as a teen I was able to get back to the final boss, and win, but it took me a lot (and I remember not being able to do it on a single session, had to rely on save states.) Nowadays as an adult, I think I could beat it, but I'm out of practice. Watching your video was somehow cathartic to me, seeing so many perfect jumps and all secrets revealed. Amazing job! Thanks for recording this, my inner child is happy 😁

The clowd levels are much harder than those in adventure island 2 (the 2 of them). However I feel like the first cloud level is a bit too hard for the first area (not complaining about it just thinking looking at the rest of the levels if it was in area lets say 4-5 it would make more sense). Also cloud levels have the best music.

On 1-1 there is a free dude in a rock, but you have to go back with a Dino or boomerang to get it. On the second water level, you can pretty much stay at the top of the screen most of the way until you get to the tiny falling seahorses

Good secrets run! Did it myself yesterday, one thing I didn't understand though is why sometimes, when you enter bonus cave, you're spawning inside pink rectangle with invincibility crystal, but sometimes you're appearing outside and the crystal is inaccessible. It's not random, but I can't figure out the exact algorithm behind it. UPD: Got it. It depends on whether the number of fruits collected is odd or even. Odd numbers are allowing to appear inside box with crystal.

The game is NES only. To play on your PC you need an emulator from emulator zone or other sites and the rom from romhustler or other sites... and that's it. Have fun.

Why the second and the third parts of some games just look uglier in graphics than the first ones? Super Mario, Adventure Island, etc.

I don't know. Only the developers can answer to this question. But in my opinion Adventure Island 2, 3 and 4 have better graphics. The art is a little different.

Thanks. It's made with save/load states. First i had to play a level 2-3 times to memorize everything before recording.
