Holy shit, this is an amazing run. You nailed each and every boss perfectly. As a kid I played this game relentlessly and only got to the final boss once... And I was so scared of the aliens, I couldn't play. Later as a teen I was able to get back to the final boss, and win, but it took me a lot (and I remember not being able to do it on a single session, had to rely on save states.) Nowadays as an adult, I think I could beat it, but I'm out of practice. Watching your video was somehow cathartic to me, seeing so many perfect jumps and all secrets revealed. Amazing job! Thanks for recording this, my inner child is happy 😁

Good secrets run! Did it myself yesterday, one thing I didn't understand though is why sometimes, when you enter bonus cave, you're spawning inside pink rectangle with invincibility crystal, but sometimes you're appearing outside and the crystal is inaccessible. It's not random, but I can't figure out the exact algorithm behind it. UPD: Got it. It depends on whether the number of fruits collected is odd or even. Odd numbers are allowing to appear inside box with crystal.

On 1-1 there is a free dude in a rock, but you have to go back with a Dino or boomerang to get it. On the second water level, you can pretty much stay at the top of the screen most of the way until you get to the tiny falling seahorses

This Adventure Island game is also very hard, but It's a lot fun though.

The clowd levels are much harder than those in adventure island 2 (the 2 of them). However I feel like the first cloud level is a bit too hard for the first area (not complaining about it just thinking looking at the rest of the levels if it was in area lets say 4-5 it would make more sense). Also cloud levels have the best music.

The game is NES only. To play on your PC you need an emulator from emulator zone or other sites and the rom from romhustler or other sites... and that's it. Have fun.

I don't remember exactly. I think someone said something about this in the comments a while ago. I intend to redo some walkthroughs because i missed some secrets and Adventure Island games are some of them too and i will see then too. I think it has something to do with the score.

I’ve messed around trying to test this briefly using save states and it seems that when I replay a level I either always spawn inside or always spawn outside. So I’m pretty confident it is not random.

I don't know. Only the developers can answer to this question. But in my opinion Adventure Island 2, 3 and 4 have better graphics. The art is a little different.
