Kings 250 Watt Solar Panel review. I get free power from the sun using these 3 items:

BACKSTORY - HOW I GOT HERE............
I bought this home initially about 15 years ago for $5000. It was $12000 total, but I got the first homebuyers grant of $7000, which took it down to $5000. I sold it about 10 years ago after writing a mildly amusing ad on gumtree for it, which garnered some media attention (radio, tv and press www.watoday.com.au/national/w...) I sold my house for $12000. I then bought it back last year for $12500.
I was unable to get the power turned on as the electrician I contacted politely said they wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole. This was actually a blessing in disguise as I otherwise would not have known all this amazing stuff about solar power and all the amazing things I’ve been discovering about living off grid. All this electrical/plumbing work would have been super expensive too!
I have chosen only to use power from the sun, so although gas or diesel could give me the ability to cook, boil a kettle etc, I’ll wait till I can afford to get the appropriate power stations to power it. I have to purchase things bit by bit as my bank will not give me any sort of a loan as I have had past issues with debt (years ago) due to cost of living.
I work from home so can do what I do anywhere (I’m a transcriber and sell on eBay). Also in the past I have produced shows at multiple festivals and other venues around Australia. I'd like to do this again (maybe even one talking about my off grid adventures), but at the moment the priority is getting my house sorted.

Thanks for the honest review of these solar panels. I'm looking at spending the extra money on a Bluetti power station, and was thinking of getting these panels to charge it. But like you said, there are a bunch of people online that complain about kings products, so its nice toe hear from someone that owns one, and uses it properly off grid.

You could wire both solar panels & blanket in parallel to get the same voltage but increased amps 👍

Why dont you make up a double anderson addaptor and use both panels at the same time, the kings and the blanket. that way you will ba able to charge on a cloudy day., just a thought

I have been trying to workout if this Panel without controller like you have. has an IP Rating for weather. As in the manual it says keep away from any liquids. This seems a little strange for a solar panel. As i Have one and Want to leave it out in the rain and not sure if water would get in the side and between the panel layers. The place i bought it from has no idea ether. so not sure if any one has tested or found out that can let me know for sure before it decides to rain here :)

Thanks for the review, I also have the iTECH1300P power station which came with a solar blanket the fabric type which I have just sold as it was hard to set up as it has no stand, are you still happy with the 250W kings solar panel?

For solar you might as well go cheap and get a mono crystalline panel.

Hi interesting review and impressive output. I bought one of these from the 4x4 Super Centre who had it on sale at $149. Absolute bargain for 250 watt A class panels. Excellent unit. I do product reviews (mostly through collaboration with major companies) and a while back I got/reviewed an Ecoflow River Pro battery generator. Great light weight 600 watt power brick and I was keen to try solar input on it. Here's my video review on the panel for anyone considering buying one of these:

I would be a bit worried if you charging your batteries above 14.8v, your display was at 18v at one stage of your video, if you have agm batteries, means your solar regulator is not charging at correct voltage, max it should be is 14.8v
