Probably the best narration on any utube episode I’ve ever watched and I’ve watched a lot. Fantastic, fair winds Altor and crew.

Hi Jesus :) Thanks so much for watching and as always - great to hear from you! Indeed, after having to motor a lot to get to Peterhead, it was awesome to have the sails up and enjoying a wind-powered adventuring. Orkney eluded us for a while, but it was worth the wait, these islands are truly magical with all the amazing places and positive energy permeating this part of the world. Wishing you all the best and sending our love from the Faroe Islands 🤗

Hay guys. What a great episode. So upbeat. 👍. I love all things military but the piece you covered regarding the battle of Jutland and Scapa was wonderfully respectful and moved me to tears. Have a great season, more of the same please. Fair winds. Steve. ⛵️

Glad to see you enjoyed Orkney, especially the Highland Park, my favorite dram, shop! Did you manage to get to the Scapa Museum at Lyness? My late father worked there when I was tiny and my first memories are of Hoy. A special place, that I will sail to once Aphrodite is back in the water. Sandy

Had the privilege of diving SMS Markgraf a König class Battleship part of the German High Seas Fleet scuttled in Scapa Flow in June 1919. When I arrived on the wreck I thought I was on the seabed until my eyes adjusted to the light. I could see equally placed lumps sticking out from what I thought was the seabed it was then I realised it was rivets stretching into the distance and I was on the upturned hull.
@AdventureNow Жыл бұрын
Hello 🙃 Thanks so much for watching! That must have been quite an experience, thanks for sharing. Lots of history around the Orkney and weighs heavily, but it's good to go and learn about it, and to learn from it.
