It's funny, I've been testing your list from a couple of months back pretty heavily the past couple of days, as well as bingeing your combo guides and such. I'm considering you as my Plunder professor lol. Great content as always. We don't have the same taste in decks but you've opened my eyes to a lot of play styles I wouldn't have considered. You're one of my favorite yugitubers and, imo, one of the best out there. Easy to digest and well thought out content without all of the arm waving and hot takes. Great deck profile. Have you ever tested plunder Labrynth? Is some funny synergy with perhaps a better meta viability?

a friend of mine did and he also won back to back 3 locals 😦, he mainly relies on labrynth cards, plunder cards are just an extra play if he is in need of more bodies or negates ps: he also has 7 flex spot, which is good in this format

Have you ever considered Dark world Accession in Plunder Patroll? It's an easy way to get into your lys

this may sound weird but in this build u should be playing the fusion spell and equip spell

love your videos! i started a ladder climb on stream with plunders this week and your content has been very helpful! one q: is there a reason you're not running dragite? i feel like (at least on master duel, where the adventure package is limited), i'm often setting up a great board and then getting wrecked by a single raigeki without a s/t negate

Umm i used to play dragite and its good in some scenarios. Going first i default to Jord now and dragite isn’t fantastic going 2nd which is why i ended up cutting it

Question: How often do you go into Ty-phon? Reason why I ask is because I feel the plunder lock REALLY hurts Ty-Phon plays, since you either have to go for a Ty-phon play but cannot access to Black-Eyes, White Beard, and Goldenhair at all the turn you do, or do standard plunder locking plays but quickly lose access to Ty-Phon the moment you touch any of the above plunder cards.

Yeah you have a good point and ty:phon is fairly cuttable. It’s mostly for the longer grind or to deal with untargetable stuff like dragoon which otherwise the deck kinda loses to, unless you can get really big atk thru the negate. But if you can find a better solution using this slot then i dont blame someone for cutting it

Hey, i just started playing the deck thanks to your videos and I found out you can pretty much play adventure runick plunder no problem, you have to make the decision to eiter stick to 40 or play 45 so you don't draw the bricks, the 5 extra being just ash and droll for the format, and yeah I had a lot of success in locals lately playing that 45 build, you dont often draw the Hard bricks and the Flexibility with the side deck is even better, also, no sp thypoon or fenrir :D

I’m thinking of playing Abyss Dweller in one of the S:P/TYPHON spots, it should be good especially if you don’t draw one of those Ishizu shufflers (good format call on those btw!)

I think plunder runick nowadays is the best plunder version. I have been playing it for one year with very good results. Moreover I really advice you to put 3 gen and 1 ken in your plunder decks since with them you can give a light monster to your opponent for lys and then put a dark token with jord. Also I still play droll in plunder runick, it's not the best but for the most part you can resolve Blackbeard and fountain before using droll, and droll is just too good.

Do you think something like the rescue ace impulse + fire attacker package could work in place of phantazmay? Discarding Whitebeard could get you to plunder interruptions turn 0 which seems pretty decent

Plunder has always been a decent rogue option in most format but since last year it's really hard for the deck to compete, they need support. And by support I mean 2-3 cards, not just one. A new good tuner could be huge.

Very good list but why no Fenrir? I always liked it a lot in Plunder and as the engine isnt too strong its pretty useful

i would play a build with both runick and adventurer, all those engine's works really well together

That’s just a lot of cards to fit in one deck. Runick plays at least 20 cards, Adventure package is around 9, and then you usually want around 18 Plunder cards. And that’s without any non-engine cards like Ash Blossom

Yeah i generally think thats a lot to fit in one deck but if theres a format where you dont really need handtraps as much then it has a shot

nah you can't play prosperity in this deck because it keeps you from using Blackbeard effect (cuz you can't draw, and the draw is mandatory for Blackbeard)

Runick Plunder vs Adventure Plunder...which one is stronger in the current format?

I’m not really sure, both are gonna have a tough time. I think for this particular format adventure might actually have the edge because i think non-engine is gonna be better than usual, and runick as your non-engine just wont cut it

I would say Runick Plunder is stronger in this format just because it is better against the decks you mentioned, but nice video anyway ✌️

Nah the fusion spell is so slept on. It’s a special from deck that can’t be ashed. Like hello? Hard making lys is very powerful, I know everyone thinks plunder is a combo deck but it’s a control deck, hands-down, and people just play it wrong

What are you talking about? What fusion spell is specialing from deck? Cuz the plunder fusion spell doesnt use materials from deck..

Or are u saying equip a dude feom deck and then lys summon it. Ok sure. But you need to have fusion spell plus two names and then forego your jord-blackbeard play which gets you lys anyway but you also draw 2. Idk what youre on about. If you want to hard make lys and have 2 in hand instead of blackbeard summon lys with 4 in hand then go ahead

You can play terraforming, and i havent tried illegal tbh, i feel like gryphon is better and you only wanna play one of them generally
