Just curious as to your newest baby. Girl or boy? Saw the video where you went camping at kaena. 5 gallon bucket with screw on gama lid. Small piece of pool noodles for rim (to sit on) plastic disposable bags. Sanitizer wipes in ziplock bag. Carry everything in bucket into camp. And whatever else you need. Toilet paper nonfood items. When at camp unload bucket. Secure bags onto bucket using pool noodles. Do your business tie bag drop into bottom of bucket. Screw gama lid on till next use. Carry out when done.

To "do the doo" one of those big red plastic coffee tubs like cheapo coffee like Maxwell House or Folgers comes in, works pretty well. You can take a 1-gallon ziploc bag and put it in and it will fit with the opening of the bag looping back around the opening to keep it secure. You obviously don't sit on this, you squat over it. This is not for pee! Only for poo. Put whatever TP you've used in there with the uh, product of your efforts, then take the bag out, roll it up and tape it up, then camouflage it by putting into a brown paper bag or even 1/2 of one and put it in the nearest dumpster or other stealthy spot like that. Now if you want to be really "green" you could use a paper bag instead of the zipper bag but hey, it's in my experience the best way to handle it for the least amount of "stuff" .... to handle your "stuff".

OK, that went a little sideways in the intro when you said you wanted our help to decide where to poop out there!! But if you're serious some options are: 1. Smearing. It's sort of self-explanatory and on dark volcanic rock in the sunshine the pathogens (which produce disease and smell) are quickly "cooked" out. 2. Aqua-dumps. If everyone did it in a constrained area it would be bad; but every other aquatic creature does it and so do a lot of ships. Nature can deal with it in sensible amounts. But weather is a limiting factor 3. Import some soil and create a human litter-box. It will become a patch of fertile soil that will give pioneer species of plants a HUGE head-start in breaking down the volcanic rock into rich soil. In each case location is key. You definitely want somewhere down-wind of areas you frequent.
