Nice video but you missed the main point of this waterfall. The only time this stream is visible is the falls. it flows from a cave, over the falls and drains back into a cave at the bottom. WHEN you return, notice that there's no pool at the bottom of the falls and no stream flowing from it. Not being a jerk just mentioning what has always fascinated me about this waterfall. Absolutely love AA Just spent all weekend binging a LOT of your content!!! The hike on LeConte and Dolly Sods were amazing videos. Looking forward to much more AA content.

Robby, you really shine in those solo hikes. You do it so skillfully that I almost forget that you're walking at least twice as far as we see. Each time we see you walking, we know that you've had to set up the camera. A hint for using that purifying straw: Scoop up a big cup of water and drink it standing up. No need to lie down prone.

If you want more impressive waterfalls. Next time you wander into Oregon, head to Silver Falls State Park and do the Trail of Ten Falls National Recreation Trail. You gotta come in late fall through spring though so there's enough water to make these massive waterfalls shine and to avoid the massive crowds at the big falls.

Robby, you gotta be cold on that Klymit Static V pad. I could be wrong, but I think that pad has an R-value of only 1.3 or something like that. I’ve seen you tough it out in colder temperatures, so you are definitely getting by somehow. Maybe using that accordion pad underneath? Don’t want you freezing out there on a solo now.

Great Video Robbie, thank you for going here, I used to take my son here when it was hardly blazed or known since it was on property owned by Bridgestone Firestone Company. The marvel of the area is that the water flows out of sandstone and limestone caves and back into sinks in the ground immediately. The falls have official campsites now and is a managed area, but used to just be a random "ewok village" of campsites at different levels around the falls and valley. Still looks as beautiful as it did 20+ years ago.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. As a native Tennessean I've hiked to Virgin Falls several times. It's also a favorite of mine and, yes, Tennessee has over 874 waterfalls according to TN Landforms! One thing that is unique and intriguing about Virgin Falls is that the water bursts out of a stream from the ground and then within a few feet it plunges over the cliff ... only to disappear underground immediately after the falls ... which is quite unusual. I don't know how far the water goes in the underground state before it appears above ground again. Love your videos!
