They really need to educate them about the humid terrain and the steep climbs. They need to train them and get them prepared physically and mentally for the track .

My grandfather fought on the kakoda trail as a bomb maker and he survived the war sadly though he passed away in 2003 about 2 months before I was born so I never got to meet him
