watched this live and can confirm it is as fun and awesome as it sounds. there were definitely audio issues however, the performances from the cast make this so worth the watch. deborah ann woll was amazing as gilbert.

@@theCynicalChicken The audio improves as it goes on but the mics still occasionally decide to spike. I'm sensitive to loud sounds and it was fine for me for the majority of the stream though.

@@nightcatarts Thanks for letting me know! I made it about 3 mins in and my brain just said "nope". I'll try to power through though if the audio quality gets better as it goes.

​@@theCynicalChicken Yeah, they give Aabria a handheld mic about 10 or 15 mins in, and let the cast know that loud cheering is a problem, so with that and whatever adjustments the tech folks made behind the scenes, there is very real improvement. The first few minutes are indeed a total disaster, barely listenable even for that length of time. By an hour in, it's been mostly ok for a fair while, with spikes much rarer and fewer dropouts. Definitely still not good on an absolute scale, but clear enough to easily understand almost all the words, at least if you don't have much background noise.

Nice job everyone! Cannot wait to watch this and vote for Kamala too. Will admit that I am more excited to see what the unhinged comment section will bring. People who CLEARLY like some of these popular creators will instantly decide they will stop following, or say some insulting comment just because of a political belief that more than half the population holds. I would still love everyone here even if I was a red voter. Use your freedom how you want and enjoy life.

(And BTW folks, the audio improves significantly, starting from total disaster unlistenable to maybe 15 mins later only kinda bad, to eventually just mediocre without dropouts by about 30 to 40 mins in, spiking / clipping mostly only on rare cheers as the cast and crowd are aware of the audio issue and trying to be careful. But I'm using desktop speakers in a fairly quiet room which; headphone users might still have problems with the occasional bursts of basically static) Rules nerd notes: 2:01:40 - Um, actually, frightened gives disadvantage on *all* attacks and checks while the source of your fear is in line of sight. (I checked in case this changed in D&D 2024. It didn't.) So this should actually protect everyone for a round, great move. Except for enemies with ranged abilities that require a saving throw by the target instead of an attack roll. Or if there are villagers the monsters could attack while not being in line of sight of Anjali's character. Ok, seems like this attack disadvantage thing didn't matter, the swarm moved in a half-circle around Anjali and swarmed villagers, probably without any attack roll, maybe a save if it had been a player. My mental image of the situation was that the closest villagers to the monsters with with the PCs, and the monsters were on the far side of the PCs from the village and villager heading back to it. So the wall of fire + making them go in a circle instead of straight in would have made them unable to reach anyone in one move. But maybe they were coming out of the woods on the side of the path? 2:04:30 - Emanation? So they are playing dnd-2024. Cool, haven't seen that system in action yet.
