Jaheira was in Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 too, much like Minsc, she is a classic character. She is Neutral Good Half-Elf fighter/druid, and in BG2, a romance option too. She is quite serious and to the point, and also a dedicated Harper. (Me, I rather romanced Aerie). And yeah, druids could use scimitars back in 2E - even though they were banned from most metal weapons as per the rules. No idea why those were allowed... Dror Ragzlin is not a fiend, he is just a regular Hobgoblin. But it is not often we see one of those wearing so little armor, I guess. And to your question - they did redesign Bugbears a bit for the 2025 Monster Manual to be more hairy, I think. They look more like the 4E designs - as in, they do not have differently colored hair and facial hair, they are just fuzzy all over with the same colored fur. The Strange Ox is a recurring creature - it isn't really an Ox, more like some weird sentient ooze that you can help out or fight. I think they just did it for the whole "talking Cow" joke that started from Diablo II and many games referenced it since then.

The Bullette is a really great sculpt. Frankly these sculpts are so much sharper than the prior iterations. The wiz kids designers seemed to have worked very closely with the models from BG3.

Have to think the price bump is going to be an issue going forward. At least for longer time collectors and players who already have hundreds or thousands of miniatures already. At lower price points, sure those are cool new variations on existing minis, but now that you are looking at $6+ per mini that is an issue, especially with the inconsistent paint jobs we often see. Love your content since it gives a real chance to see the minis up close and make a more informed choice.

As one of those collectors I agree. Mostly though it’s the egregious “chase” figures that will stop me getting these sets. The false scarcity rarety of some figures was always problematic, but those ones take it to ridiculous levels of anti-consumer behaviour. It benefits nobody on the consumer side, and who but the most diehard collectors are actually going to try and get them all 🤷‍♂️ so I can’t imagine it translates to that many more sales, but what do I know 😅

I have several new players in my current campaign that were introduced to DND because of Baldur's gate. it will be cool to get some minis that they have encountered in the game. definitely like the Olyphant and actually use him like a detective.

What's surprising is what caught my eye in the whole set was the cool dual-weilding gnoll. Now I've been a fan of your channel for years so I know you guys don't like gnolls that much but I got to give that mini a bit of credit, though the paint job was too dark for it... if it was a bit lighter (grey or brown) with a bit of shade paint then it would look great. Overall, great job as always guys! Loving your mini reviews and rewatching your older videos back then too

For the price, it’s easy to find better high quality minis… they are not looking good at all.
