I like to poke holes in the squash and throw the whole thing in the oven at 325 for like an hour and a half or two. It’s easier to cut open and clean and the strands aren’t crunchy.

Hey, important thing. If you cut the spag squshs the other way (down the other middle) you can get longer strings. Also using a smaller knife makes them easier to cut.

If you dont want to use fake meat, chop carrot, celery, onion and garlic for the ground beef texture. I also add nutmeg for a meatier taste.

also- if you don't have an oven, you can also use the microwave and put the squash cut side down on a plate with a little bit of water for 12 mins on high

Pro tip! When you rinse the jars out with water to get the rest of the sauce, use red wine instead. It gives the same purpose but with flavor.

Hack: poke the spaghetti squash with a fork a few times, microwave it for about 5-7 minutes depending on size to make it much easier to cut! Use a dish towel to pick it up because it’ll be hot
