Irene Adler is a fictional character in the Sherlock Holmes stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A former opera singer and actress, she was featured in the short story "A Scandal in Bohemia", published in July 1891. Adler is one of the most notable female characters in the Sherlock Holmes series, despite appearing in only one story. While not technically a criminal and bearing no malice towards Holmes, she outsmarts him and evades his traps. Sherlock Holmes refers to her afterward respectfully as "the Woman." ~ Wiki

The #1 best tool that helps me sleep are these sleep masks: amzn.to/3JnPOik They are padded so no pressure on the eyes, and the mask shape + thick material blocks out all light. (other masks can leak light around the nose) There's an adjustable strap so it's comfortable and I (Mich) personally take one with me wherever I go. Hold on a second. You're taking librivox free material read by volunteers and using that as your channel material?
@sleepaudiobooks Жыл бұрын
Yes I am. I edit the chapters together and clean up the audio. I also slow and lower the voices to make them more calming. The audiobooks are in public domain. Librivox volunteers understand that means the audiobooks can be repurposed freely for commercial purposes. And I always link back to the original source (which is not required for public domain content) Also I hired multiple narrators to create original works as well, and I have made no money from this channel after dedicating about 6 months to building it

@@sleepaudiobooks : SUBSCRIBING. You sound like a dedicated content provider. I don't usually listen to Librivox audiobooks because they tend to have British books read by Americans and it just doesn't work. Some others are simply untalented readers. I hope you will keep that in mind when selecting content. There is a woman who reads Jane Austen books for them that is good but the speed is too fast. Perhaps you might consider working your magic on those. Thank you for nearly 11 hours of Holmes. I'm a light sleeper & tend listen to audiobooks on & off throughout the night. Ads wake me up so I hope your videos are ad free.

@Trish Traynor Well it must suck to be you. I personally enjoy all accents as long as I can understand them and more IMPORTANTLY, they have a pleasant speaking voice. In fact, sometimes when I can't quite understand what they are saying do to their accent it adds to the story and I spend the effort to understand that dialect so that I can enjoy the beauty of the human race and how we all have different quirks, mannerisms and customs.
