@@AdventuresAhead I didn't say that to be an A hole. We're going on our first cruise this summer: Carnival Vista. The more I learn about cruises the weirder it gets.

@petezereeeah ahh! Makes sense. No we aren’t swingers… although if you’re looking for that just befriend someone with an upside down pineapple on their door 😂 Hope you have a great time! This is the first time I'm seeing you folks. My wife had some size and I used to be larger too. Prefer chairs without arms. Like the back part of the theater which has a couch without arm rests. Some of the staterooms had narrow doorways. When in the casino I mostly play at the craps table. No chairs. My wife had a hard time getting around with her walker. When she used a wheelchair I would push her and the people parted like the Red Sea. We loved to be in the aft section of the ship. If I slipped on the floor, I'd stay down until they came with a wheelchair for me.

I sailed on the Venezia last October and am also a person of size with mobility issues as well. I will disagree with the seating in Heroes Bar. I felt like I was going to break every chair in there. Re: the Theater - I learned quickly to go to one of the ushers and tell them that you have mobility issues. There is a special row of seats that are actual strait back chairs (with no arms) that they will sit you in. Tge chairs can move in case a scooter or wheelchair needs to get in there. And it’s right by the back bar. Otherwise I never could have sat in the theater. Even the bench seating along the walls was quite difficult to climb up into and was extremely shallow front to back. I also agree with the public restrooms. Especially the handicap ones. A Godsend.

Good to hear the corridors are wide. Most cruise ships have narrow corridors, which can make life difficult for anyone.

I don’t know why they add chairs with arms? Especially when they are new ships or refurbished.
