Never been to Manda but all things considered I prefer Amu island to Manda. Seemed to me that Amu island has more life and activities to do than Manda. Thanks for sharing. I must categorically disagree with the notion that it is to dangerous to ply Malindi-Lamu route by public means. It is well secured!

can you imagine the uhuru govt wants to build a coal plant close to lamu. with all that beauty imagine a coal plant near there spewing smoke from the stuck. basically putting lamu to its death bed. CrAzy..There should be a campaign showing the beauty of lamu and what the uhuru govt is about to destroy. You see many people dont know what lamu looks like. They think shabab. I would show the beauty of the entire lamu, from the activites that takes place there like yoga whereby people around the world attend the festival because they consider lamu a well and fitness destination but with the coal plant all that is gone. shella will just become a ghoast town as investors close down their properties. imagine the suffering of the people and entire lamu whos main source is tourism

The mission for my Lamu series was to show that Lamu is probably the most beautiful place in Kenya. I wish I had more reach to make that impact, but oh well.. I guess all you can do is share these. I'm sure you wouldn't find similar hq videos about Lamu
@daviddavis79595 жыл бұрын
@@AdventureSingh There are like minded people like you who could make a series on why the coal plant should never be built. If you show such clear beautiful videos like that of lamu and people see them on their tv, then awareness is raised. Get with Chamada report guy the guy who goes around the country and world show casing on different aspects of things.

Just one word of advice when taking shots of a place, please avoid selfing yourself too much. Like when showing the beds you dont have to be on the video. I did not even see the beds in your room just your face and you explaining what the beds look like. Your face does not need to be on the video all the time. just film the places and explain after all thats what viewers want to see. Less of yourself more of the surrounding areas and whatever you want to show us.

Lamu island is very safe, but mainland, my friend, do not go, kina Kiunga, Hindi, mpeketoni, Raskamboni are all high risk areas, even just last weekend, people were killed in Kiunga, the roads there are really terrible and mostly have IEDs hidden underneath, most people often confuse Lamu Island and Lamu County itself, Lamu island, also what residents clall Amu is very safe, outside, not so safe, since most of these towns are near Somalia, hence the ease of the militants roaming around, and the vast dense Boni forest offers them a nice hideout
