Charlotte, NC, USA---4:11 a.m. Hi Brody, Dory, BMO & other guy! I hope you guys have been adjusting well to your new home/space, etc. That's such a beautiful, peaceful place for you & the crew, Brody! The weather here has been unseasonably warm for February; but, It's supposed to rain for the next 6 days or so. 😑 I was afraid that BMO wasn't going to fly. He really is a chill little dude. Sooo cute when sharing your drink; but, what's up with his feathers? Dory's voice really is quite loud & obnoxious! Lol! She sounds like a bunch of some kind of bug; but, her cuteness REALLY makes up for it! It was great to see Pabu & the rest of your gang, after all! They're such a very cool mix! Take care, Brody. I wish for you the best of everything! Always remember to take time to relax & rest whenever you can. Don't get burned out from all of your responsibilities and hectic schedule! Yay, more Dory! Love quakers, so it makes me happy seeing at least one being flown outdoors. Question regarding the backpack you have for her, how long does it take for that new plastic smell to dissipate enough for the bag to be useable? I'd love to be able to take my quakers out on adventures but can't because of that.

I opened my bag completely and sat it outside in the sun for a hour with the wind. It was completely gone within the hour :) As long as it's completely opened and in a well ventilated area it should go away quickly :)

You've been absent just long enough for me to again be shocked (tricked) by the "strange Eclectus subspecies" (Petrie) in the background at 4:52 haha 'Why the small beak, long tail, so much red, what happened??" - just for a second there is a rent in the fabric of what is. Birbs!! For BMO's landing convenience, your mate needs to wear a secure head strap for the perches with dark lenses that he so thoughtfully wears on his face 😎💚

BMO seems so incredibly calm compared to Pabu and Dory, the contrast is amazing!

yeah it's also why it's hard to have them out together, BMO likes calm energy and quality time but Pabu and Dory are high energy, loud and in your face and it results in BMO taking refuge in a far away tree to play by himself, which is fine for a bit but I would rather him enjoy his time out. So may have to start taking him out one on one and keep Dory and Pabu out together.

I have heard "Eclectus people" talk about "Mojo molts" - a hard molt, protracted, and often with bald patches on head. First molts especially can go like this, and it is normal. (See the same with Corvids in USA). Eclectus feathers are a bit unique and can show wear easier towards molting time - especially soft, baby feathers. While it is always good to keep an eye on weight, feather, beak, feet health - BMO looks just like a beautiful, growing Eclectus boy! Just what I've heard and seen, quickly trumped by Brody, avian vets , and other people who actually know stuff 🙄 💚 🐦

@@AdventuresofRoku, you should have seen Coco RSE - ring around neck, patchy head. I did not know it was normal, and was so worried. I would hold him and kiss his little balding head and say sweet encouraging things. He was absolutely eating it up and would look more pathetic to get more "comforting". He had a great time lol 💚🐦💚

Maybe he is hearing some danger there that you don't hear. Our female Eclectus hears things long before we do. I don't think that they got to be that intelligent by being careless.

no not really as this behaviour is seen in every new location, this includes new houses, new bedrooms. new anything lol he's just very young and taking it all in :) This location is drastically different to the others, its extremely wide and open over a entire lake ahead, and dense thick rainforest directly behind. He is constantly looking at the water as he has never seen it before :)
