I love the Sedona area. Did the West Branch of Oak Creek a few years ago, and yes the trail was crowed. But very enjoyable. Drove by Devils Bridge, saw all the cars and kept driving. Photography in that area was great, I have many memories to look through. Living on the East Coast, I don't get out there very often, that's why I enjoy your videos!

Glad you got over your sickness, I can only imagine how difficult it is to be sick while in your car. Thanks for taking time to show us around Sedona and the two hiking areas, I've never been, but like everyone else, have heard so much about area. If I ever get a chance to visit, I will definitely heed your advice and stay away from Devil's Bridge! Looking forward to watching your videos.

Hi Erik, glad your feeling better. It definitely has to be rough being sick in a car and stomach sick too. Vitamin water and Gatorade is always my best friend after stomach issues to get vitamins/minerals back in balance. Thanks for sharing the sites of Sedona, I definitely would like to visit there, but I'm not partial to the tourist destinations. It looks to much like Disney with the crowds and no parking. Hope you had an awesome Christmas and New Years. Happy New Years to you!! Look forward to your next video!!
@EscapingNormalLifeКүн бұрын
it basically WAS Disney with crowds and no parking. you're right. it was beautiful, but just over crowded. maybe it dies down in January after the holidays? I dont know. but there parts of it that I liked, and others I didn't. Happy New Years Chuck!!!

The best way to experience Sedona living in a car was how I did it lol…. I worked full time and had off 2 days during the week, always worked weekends. I lived a strict lifestyle, up most mornings around 4am, got to any trail heads at the crack of dawn, and made sure to avoid peak traffic patterns. Going for a quick 2 days not knowing traffic patterns, off the beaten path parking spots, etc would be very overwhelming. It’s a cluster f*ck there no doubt
@EscapingNormalLifeКүн бұрын
yep, it definitely was a cluster. Ha ha. Yeah, I didn’t do much research before going there. I should’ve done what you did and gotten there much earlier for the trails. But oh well, I went and enjoyed it overall.

omg is it bob??? excited anyway. beautiful xmas lights. glad you're better. i literally had food poisoning a week ago, so I understand. I can't imagine doing that in a car. much love.

oh- haha. no, I dont have anything planned with Bob. I wish. I do hope to meet him. I know he just moved into a Forester too. Maybe we can hold some common ground and I can get him to tour my rig? that would be great. feeling SO much better. thanks for watching and commenting!

Devils Bridge was cool but you're right the people would have me leaving. Subway Cave was really cool and looked like a nice place to sit and enjoy the scenery. Getting sick on the road must be tough. I never thought of what I would do. I hope you get better quickly and are able to make those other connections you planned. Great Shots this Vid. See you next time.

I live in flagstaff and work in Sedona. It’s ok lol😊

I loved both areas equally. Sedona definitely has a lot to do outside. But flagstaff is probably the place that I would actually live between the two

Working on becoming a gypsy👣 the overwhelming need for a hot soaking bath sometimes and the wind are 2 things I struggle with …..
@EscapingNormalLifeКүн бұрын
oh yeah. hot baths are selllldom. when I was in Flagstaff- the only Planet Fitness there had ZERO hot water, all week. so every shower I took was freezing cold. sometimes you can find a natural hot spring. but they're not everywhere. I guess it's one of the gives/takes of road life. thanks for watching and commenting!

Happy New Year!! It’s great seeing you! Glad you are feeling better. If you are still doing or planning on doing the food delivery make sure you are keeping track of your miles, so it can be a tax deduction for you. There’s an app you can use for it.

@280zoneКүн бұрын
@@EscapingNormalLife Sadly it was probably before you were born, and sadly I didn't realize how awesome we had it. We used to ditch school in Flagstaff and "relax" in the creek. Imagine the road from Flagstaff to Sedona with MAYBE 3 to 4 cars parked alongside the road. A few years back I visited our old favorite place and they have installed fencing, various barriers and a parking lot.... The magic was gone, never to return.
@EscapingNormalLife17 минут бұрын
@@280zone oh no. there are places like that in FL, where I'm from. spring rivers I used to take people who would visit. it was a great getaway from the crowds and nothing like Disney. unfortunately, its quite the opposite now. large crowds on the rivers, people blaring music, timed reservation just to launch your own boat/kayak/paddleboard. trash left behind. basically- JUST like Disney now. just 10000% not the same. and sadly, I dont even like to visit those once "favorite" spots

Hows the door dash been working out for you? I've seen some people work multiple apps at one time , whichever one is busy , uber eats etc
@EscapingNormalLifeКүн бұрын
I've only done it maybe 4x times and it paid off WELL for xmas. I havent had much time to do it again between getting sick and I've actually had a lot of video jobs come in. but I want to in Tucson. Once I feel like I've "mastered" Door Dash, I'll most likely download Uber Eats and try that one too.
