11 has so many references to past games. That's one of my favorite things about the game series. When I played DQ11, and heard some of these themes..from the distant past, I cried.

I mean, if I remember correctly, 11 takes place in the *very* distant future of Dragon Quest 3? Could be wrong. It's been a while... I should play Dragon Quest 11 again.

​@@redpup112Actually, DQ11 is before DQ3. After DQ3 there's DQ1 and DQ2 and DQ11 is the very first DQ game in chronological order.

I recently just got the game, and it's been a fascinating experience so far! Though I'm playing it on Switch, the visuals are so memorizing especially in the evening and nighttime settings. Messing around the overworld and spotting those landmarks with this playing makes the slow journey special. I'm so mad my first playthrough of DQ III was the Switch/IOS version.
