WTAF?! 😂 mansplaining! you should get a female contractor who has spent 10 or 20 years on the job. get her to react to this..... I'm a woman with 30 years around construction.. this video offends me.

feels like you assume when a woman has become a GC it is without education, experience, competency. if men enter the field with these 3 things so do women... if they don't the business fails. early in my career I had a builder open a conversation with me: "whats a little lady like you know about building houses." with a wink and a snort. So speaking of my knowledge and experience was not the appropriate response? Bunk! Respectful job sites should be fostered by every dang person on every dang project.... if this happens when men run the site it translates to any site, even one run by a woman. That advice should be aimed at everyone, not women. physical capability... you described being knowledgable about technical knowledge not physical capabilities. your disproving your point and again speaking as if women in the field would be ignorant. Also, every woman i ever met with interest in construction was more than willing to do any task she could. mentorship: good for men and women. yes. 🤔 maybe you should just make a video with tips for young or new GCs... instead of focusing on women. this feels targeted and biased. i hadn't intended to go on and on.... suggesting coming to job sites with appropriate safety gear...again should be said to every person on a site. listen ... there are real issues for women in construction because: hey, men and women are different. But the answer does not lie in giving women behavioral directions. Every personality is different and you just shouldnt generalize toward these stereotypes. The answer is to make sure both sexes come to this career with the education and competencies that ensure success. When people on job sites know that someone is good at their job, they respect that. I've seen it.
