I did and there is nothing to benefit from his videos. I stopped listening to his videos because it was all about chasing duniya like a mad dog. May Allah guide him and us all. One of the most important things for a revert is to be humble in order to accept advice from his brothers in Islam. You can't just double down and ignore the voices of the scholars for example. Be humble, be modest, sit down and listen and obey your creator. If you don't even know who your enemies are, this in itself is proof you're not ready to influence people on social media - it's okay to be the student. As Muslims we know to hold our tongues and be patient - no one's perfect but when you've got as many followers as Tate, you have to check yourself before saying what you want to say.

Believe it or not, it took me years to realize that there are actual scholars like Ibn Baz, Uthaymeen, Albani etc who teach correct Islam. And I was never surrounded by Muslim people at all nor knew of them. It was only through a video discussion I watched of a debate in Speakers corner where their names popped up, and I investigated it. Had I never done that, I would still remain ignorant. So I was exactly in Tate's position. Now I did not go extremes like supporting enemies of Islam at all etc, but even I made so many mistakes in my deen only to realize how wrong I was when I found out through correct knowledge. As for travelling, he just got out of house arrest and I still think he is restricted to remain in Europe. This is why Im saying he needs actual Muslim folks around him. Having close Muslim friends is a huge favor of Allah to remind him and correct his mistakes. So, do not be quick to judge him. I see myself in him a bit. Allah can guide him, and that is easy for Him. Rather instead of how our ummah is reviling him, its better to be patient and remind him in a manner befitting of a mumin of his error. Allahu aalam.
