I'm really happy (grateful, really) that I've never been into the whole glamor and lavish lifestyle most young adults appear to live. For me, I'm investing currently 60% of my paychecks and living minimally, mainly because I want to retire as soon as possible. I see the way these other people live and gosh, many make LESS than me and I know they are stressed to the bone with debt and won't have that delicious early retirement. I don't mean that as brash. I just find solace in saving as much as I can and living raw and minimal! ❤

I envy that 18-year-old. I started at 22, but I think I still am doing well. Just got to be consistent.

I didn't start to 42 and my net worth is 7 figures at 59. Believe me you'll be a multimillionaire.

You'll be a multi millionaire pretty young. Just put in as much as you can stand and you'll be well off. I started in my 20s, but wish I would have maxed everything out.
@xodroid98532 ай бұрын
You will be alright. No need for regret at not starting sooner. I started at 16, but I didn't put enough in so mine is worthless at 40. You have to try to max it out or at least get to half the limit. Make sure it's invested in something. My own personal opinion.
@cur2442 ай бұрын
I'm in the game, but I didn't start maxing out everything until about 35. That's my biggest regret not doing that sooner. I should have got an extra job or done whatever it would take to max out 401k, roth ira and HSA.

Thank you for great videos, just have a question to ask Is it better to try to reduce the morgage to pay it off or better to invest that money ?
@MelAbraham3 ай бұрын
Hey there Johnny that’s not an easy question to answer without more information. It’s partly dependent upon your age your whole financial picture and the interest rate on the loan. In my book to talk about following something called the wealth priority ladder that gives you priorities and the order in which to pay things. If you are fully funding your investments and your financial future, then we can start to put money towards paying down your mortgage faster. If not, I would prioritize investments, generally speaking.
