Yes they do offer articles to qualified persons of other Departments on a secondment basis. This can happen only if i have obtained approval from my Department whereafter i can approach the Office of the State Attorney to see if they can accomodate me for the duration of 2 years. This means i will be employed full time with the DoJ for 2 years. I am yet to get more info as i was given the contact details of the person.

Hello Malebo, thank you for your question! As I am not in any way affiliated to the Independent Association of Advocates I cannot share any experiences in that regard. As mentioned in the clip I am registered with the JSA which prohibits advocates from briefing members of the public without the intervention of an attorney. This is largely due to being able to regulate its members for any misconduct and for members of the public to hold attorneys accountable as they are required to keep fidelity fund certificates.
