I lived in Belgium for around a year (near the german border,) and prior to that did trips to Bruges and Ghent with my Renault Master hightop two or three times a month for street market bric a brak reasons. It brings the memories back, if you go back you need to sample the Belgium chips from the roadside stalls and also a steak or three if you have three days or more. Belgium has French speaking and Netherland speaking areas but 90% of the population are fluent in several languages.

Bruges is a lovely City, but like all tourist destinations, you want to avoid eating or drinking on the main square shown around 17:20. It is called the Markt Square (no e in market). The Vizmarkt (fish market) is another place to be careful with. It may have changed now but historically it had become a bit of a junk market for bric a brac, with some stuff probably off the back of lorries. But the very best chocolates in the World can be found in Bruges and that is Prince's Chocolate Shop, Woolerstraat 4. (no connection, except that as a tour operator I used to recommend them to all my customers). Great video as usual.

Happy birthday guys. Has it really been 1 year, doesnt seem like it.. Glad to see Bectoria is back, although you did miss a trick. When she was in the dog exercise area and half in half out of the hoop she crawled through. THAT would have made for a great video thumbnail 😉 Also the reason the bread tasted funny was because you bought (what looked like) american bread, which has way more sugar than uk or even standard french bread. American bread it notorious for being more like flat cake than bread (hence why there are so many chonky americans)

We call that cheese “plastique”. If you cheese went in a grinder, it will be tasteless or taste like salt. Get old gouda and jambon instead and go to a backer for the bread. No one(other than gas station tourists) buys that American bread. It is a croque monsieur if it has jambon, a croque madame if it does not have jambon. And I highly recommend pickled red onions with it 😊
