Thanks so much and glad you enjoyed it. That’s a good point you make too. There are things you can do like refilling the capsules or using the metal reusable ones but I’d imagine most people won’t want that as the idea of a pod coffee machine is that it makes things quick and easy.

Great review. Just wondering on your thoughts on whether having the milk automatically added or having a different machine with a separate milk frother is better. Asking as a Newby deciding on which machine to buy as a latte lover.

As a latte lover too I like to add the milk myself, as feel the results are better for lattes. So I’d probably go for a Creatista or a stand alone milk frother. My preference is the Creatista though as you get more control over the froth level with the steam wand 😊 Hope this helps.

When making Cappuccino and Latte the pods don’t give the full amount of coffee than if you were just doing them as an Espresso. So you can easily use an 150ml capsule for Cappuccino and 80ml for Latte

A tip I was given if anyone wants their coffee bit hotter, is to run the flush program long enough to fill the cup you’re using. This gets the machine warmed up, but also warms the cup. I found this quite helpful after initially finding the coffees I was making (using the cappuccino setting) to not be overly hot. Good machine overall, but mine leaked after about 5 months. Waiting on a replacement from Nespresso.

Cappuccinos are meant to be warm enough to drink & not hot.

Hello! Can you make cold frothed milk by itself ie without making coffee?

Not that I’m aware of as the steam wand always heats the milk. You may need an aeroccino or other seperate frother for cold froth.

Looks like a great machine, but I have the VertuoPlus and this lever system looks like a real downgrade. I just feel like the locking mechanism is something that could wear out after a while. I love my machine though and I dont really find the exclusivity of the pods as a problem because I'm guaranteed quality coffee and I usually just order in the app or go to a store if I'm in Melbourne anyway. Interesting you mention the Alto is back, I was shattered when they deleted it as its great for travel mugs which I use every day - I have to use 2 pods per coffee now. I dont think this size is available again in Australia yet.

I've had a few comments over the years with people feeling the same way regarding the lever. I prefer the motorised lever on the Vertuo Plus too... not sure why Nespresso did away with that. Hope the Alto pods return to Australia soon too!

Hi.I got my machine two days ago and set up nicely yesterday to use it today, but when I started making latte machiato, the frother didn't work, and it did release lots of steam, too. I installed the frother properly as it's rinsing just fine, but when it comes to milk, it's not working. I don't know where the problem is ?? Any help, please 🙏

Hi 👋 Did you manage to get to the bottom of this? One thing I seem to recall from setting it up is that the dial on top of the frother could come a bit loose if I twisted it too far towards the clean symbol. Something to watch out for but would be great to hear if you got the issue sorted?

@A2BProductions Hi yea, I got it sorted. I guess the issue was I didn't put it together properly, so I redid it, and it started working. I made a few latte, but it's not making a hot drink just warm only.
