Being a Vistapit Kashmiri, I can relate to this. I had the same kind of feelings and emotions when I visited the place in Kashmir where my forefathers had lived and were cremated. I remember my grandfather and grandmother living there and I used to visit them very often. The rice fields, the small garden where they used to grow vegetables, the walnut trees, especially the one that grew with me and the one the produce of which my grandparents used to keep for my father. Miss my home, my Kashmir.

This is my birthplace Kashmir, I Miss my home, my maternal grand parents had similar house, mud, stones, bricks, still resonates vividly in my mind. My maternal grandmother used to sing Kashmiri songs in Jammu in a hope to see her home back but she passed away. I do visit Kashmir often as it reminds me of my ancestors, but I visit as a Tourist……
