Nice car mate =) Its rare to see an older engine like the 4AC in such tight configuration, with no appreciable pickup lag. But then again i dont have custom headers on mine so i suppose there isn't much comparison lol. But she does sound good =)

yeah that manifold is rare ass hell. im goin the same set up too, except im goin carbed 4age, i spun arod bearing on my 4ac so i figured it was the perfect time to upgrade, got the manifold and dual 44mm Solex's. sidedrafts FTW. Nice Corolla man

Thanks guys for the Good and negative comments... the 4a-c is actually a good motor some may like it some don't... the reason why i just stayed to the 4ac is because of the carbs...of course you can drop in a 3tc but thats ok, and you also can drop in a 4ag with sidedraft or ITB as well but nah! 4A-C power.

wow.. a SOHC with ITBs.. now thats something you dont see everyday.. with a propper cam and propper carbs setup it can get pretty pretty close to the 4AG or surpass stocks 4AGs

thats just in japan, the ae85 was not an export version, in fact is very rare to see an ae85

haha yups...terceldude know what he's talking about..Right on! 4ac to me does have the power. you just gotta know how to drive it...meaning what revs to down it to, so you get the power out of it.. My car doesnt even have cams or headers...but that would me nice to have haha..4ac HAMMER..

@LordJesseD Probably because the 4A-GE is already considered underpowered. I have a redtop swapped AW11 and its not really that fast.

People, please! You can put a 4AG Block and use that as the engine block for the 4AC, just look at jasper096's 4ac. It's one sick one. This one is also sick. Better than my 3ac engine, which needs this stuff. You can also put a Schneider Racing Cams Camshaft for a 3AC/4AC in these engines and they'll go really fast. Plus you proably don't know all the hidden power tricks to mod your 4ac's with. But I bet jus4drift and jasper096 did!

check the firewall vin # 3A-U 1.5 L = AE85,vin 4A-C 1.6L = AE86 4A-G 1.6L = AE88, vin 4ac and 4ag same cubic centimeters, same block, same internals (early models) different heads, 4ac carb 8 valve 4ag fuel injected 16 valve...your welcome

Yeap, just after posting that response i learned the hard way that ITBs and carbs are not the same thing.. I made myself look like an idiot.. but at least now i know something more.. You can put the 4AG head in the 4AC?

hello.. are you sure the water outlet is from 88 tercel or 87 ae82 corolla with 4ac? theres no fwd tercel with 4ac?

Randolf Rionda no.. if you look closely at my upper radiator hose there is a small piece of pipe in which i used to join the hose..just find whatever hose that'll fit the water neck with possible bends and cut it to length..
