AE95 4A-F Carburettor Rough High Idle and Stall

I can see that when engines running the throttle position diagram on the side where fuel window is the screw is touching that plate thats what causes it to idle like that if vacuum is not working for that diagram

I had exactly the same problem in my 1992 Subaru Legacy, unstable, explosions in the exhaust, accelerated and turned off, change wires, spark plugs, compression by valves and everything was fine and finally I took the car to a carburetor expert and stayed working excellent, the change was incredible

No I just replaced this carburetor with a cheap copy, and now I am converting it to a 7A-FE 1.8 litre engine.

I'm having the same problem on my 94 Ford Laser but there's black smoke coming out of the exhaust. It has a very similar carb. Have you managed to fix the problem?

Yeah the carb was just old so I replaced it but that also failed after 6 months or so. I am replacing the engine and getting fuel injection now.
