Good advice. I do the same thing and after 3 months I got the same exact FPS on the chrony with both barrels. Never had a failure either. I will look into cutting down my 357 barrels for use with Polymags! I like the 410 shotgun barrels a lot too. I have the same Texoma 456 ammo for those barrels. Great platform for what it is.

Do people sell the inserts you have to hold the barrels? The ones that come with them don’t even hold the barrels in place.

Yeah the stock ones do nothing except make the gun longer and uglier... I do sell the ones I make (shown in this video) I was selling them on eBay but they started removing all my listings for some crazy anti Airgun parts policy they have now. I’ll have them up for sale on my website tomorrow evening

That’d be sweet! I have designed a suppressor for it… goes in place of the insert that I made for it to center the barrels. Basically the same piece but has a double suppressor out front with 10 baffles

The difference in long vs short is unoticable ide slap shorts on all day. If you made like a 12 to 14in long barrel then you would be doubling to tripling performance and power. They had a gun called the modoc 9mm using 3000psi cartridges of the same volume doing 200fpe with 81 grain 9mm slugs out a 29in barrel at like 1000fps+ so if you put a longer barrel on shooting a heavier 357 with double the psi in the cartridge you could reach around that power with like a 20in barrel

I was only using the .45 cal barrels in this video… I 3d printed some sabots to allow me to use any smaller caliber out of them . As far as I know the only barrels that are available for it are .50, .45, and .35 cal (.50 just came out a few days ago, made by texoma precision pellet)

Long barrel is best for heavier slugs, short barrel is best for lighter slugs and being able to fit it in a cc holster easily

How long have you stored it pressurized and it still fired? I've heard they leak over time.

I’ve stored them for several months and fired them with no issues… biggest thing is filling them correctly. make sure the o rings are perfectly clean and have a drop of silicone oil 👍

I have a 1st generation defender with the short barrels and there is a lot of movement. Have you ever made an insert similar to the one on your 2nd generation, for a 1st gen?

The only real major problem I’ve really ran into so far is some of the air cylinders, there’s a stainless steel pin inside of it that will start to bend after a few hundred shots. I’ve taken them apart and straightened the pins with pliers and it seemed to have fixed it so far, but I’m sure they’ll probably bend again after a while. I just stocked up on a bunch of cylinders just in case

I had it happen recently when letting a friend shoot it.. I think it has to do with how the trigger is pulled … it’s a little weird because of the rotating hammer head. If you pull the trigger partially without actually firing, let off then pull it the rest of the way sometimes it will either only make partial contact causing a hiss or hit both firing pins. It’s definitely an issue they need to work on cause you shouldn’t have to worry about how you pull the trigger
