Hi.. my name’s Sergio.. I’d like some advise about phrasal verbs. Don’t we need to put the substantive on the middle instead?ex. Get out of bed.. Get the bed out?

Hello Sérgio, nice to meet you. The word advise is a verb (aconselhar) and the word advice is a noun (substantivo). After the word advice use the preposition on, so you need some advice on phrasal verbs. Yes, some phrasal verbs are separable and some are not. The phrasal verb get out of can't be apart in this context because 'of' is a preposition and therefore needs a complement. If you say, like you did, "get the bed out of" it sounds a little confusing I mean the message, because to get something out of something means to enjoy something or think that something is useful (tirar algo de bom de alguma coisa, olha este exemplo: it is an interesting course but I don't think I'm getting much out of it (o curso é interessante mas eu não acho que estou aproveitando muito ou tirando muita coisa interessante dele. You can say: the Police got the gun out of the thief's hand(a polícia tirou a arma da mão do ladrão) nesse caso vc tem dois objetos ou complementos a arma e a mão do ladrão, get sth out of sth or sb. (To get the bed out of vc precisaria de mais um complemento ou objeto para complementar o of). I know it's complicated and if you still have any questions I am here to help. Bye
