I disagree, 1st of all not only.. Did Dj premier make this beat...Top 5 producers in Hip Hop period. 2nd, Small circle of friends's version is not as well produced as AEAO, Preemo's drums way clearer, their beat is repetitve dynamicaly compared to AEAO, Preemo chopped the sample, they looped it. The overall mix feels underwelming compared to Preemo's beat to. The pitch of there sample is way to high to my liking. Dj premier is a beast in chopping samples he manipulated the sample way better, he didnt just loop it, he chopped the sample giving more space for the mc's to rap over, also makes the beat less repetitve. AEAO released 2014 Now almost 10 years later, is blowing up. Need i say more, it aged better. What preemo did with his production they didn't achieve with their beat. But thats what opinions are for. But thats a bald statement to say anyone just "did it better" then Preemo, and honestly disrespectfull. I make beats myself, i understand what makes a great beat and what doesn't, preemo killed it. Small circle of friends didn't make a "Mass Appeal" or a N.Y State Of Mind.
