Motors are the easiest upgrade for your AEG and can change the performance pretty noticeably. But upgrading your motor with one that is not matched to the internal characteristics could potentially hinder performance rather than improve it. Avoid these pitfalls by first identifying what you want your gun to do and then to get the appropriate motor.

There needs to be more how to upgrade videos. There's so much aftermarket support out there and it's too easy to waste money trying to find out what works with what. Have a standard guide increasing fps, you do this. If increasing rof, do this type of guides.

@@Energizer720 No they do not, nor should the SHS motors really heat up either. What kind of upgrades are you pushing? Sometimes a mismatched motor will cause more strain which results in the heat buildup.

Liking the ASG ones. The 16TPA ones are fine for most builds. More TPA = More toque, but less speed. So conversely, less TPA = More speed, Less Torque.

With a low gear ratio (say 10:1) you can still get a very high fire rate while using a high torque motor but of course that is just wit low ratio gears

Hello Mr. Fox airsoft. I have a Matrix SR25 that basically stripped the gears of my gun due to using a 11.1 lipo in my gun and I pretty much broke it. I already have a tight bore barrel and new upgraded hop up system. I'm looking to shoot between 450- 500 fps with a rate of fire between 10 fps and 12 fps with a snappy trigger system. I dont know if the stock spring will do but I was shooting 410 fps with the tight bore barrel. I wanted to ask personally what you would upgrade for these topics listed below 1) Cylinder/ cylinder head with nozzle 2) internal mosfet system wired to back 3) also maybe a gear set that will help with the load of the spring and also the 11.1 lipo battery 4) piston / piston head 5) motor 6) shims and bearings Hopefully my questions are too confusing. Thank you also for posting this video it explained everything every well!

Look at the 30k or even 22k but definitely look at upgrading your battery to an 11.1v + a MOSFET and you'll have super good trigger response. (We're doing a video on that topic soon!)

Try a 30k or 35k first if you don't plan to upgrade anything else. The quick change requires you to take the gearbox out of the receiver. That would take too long to explain, you'll have to look that up. We wouldn't recommend exceeding an M120 rated spring without further upgrades to other components. You could also prematurely crack the gearbox if you go higher.

Tryna build a custom ak. Wanna build a custom gearbox then find something to put it in. Looking for quick swap springs. Kinda want a decent rate of fire but need to be able to hit outdoor field numbers. Also thinking programmable mosfet for burst fire mode. Any recommendations or just things to look at. If it helps at all thinking of using a suppressor with a longer inner barrel for outdoors and one with a shorter barrel and a tracers unit for indoors. Heard the longer barrel can help.

This is funny i got your notification yesterday . A day after i ordered an asg u cnc 22tpa for my 8-1 dsg lol. Ive smoked 2 motors now lol. And element 18tpa and a shs high trq ( actually had a 22 tpa not the new 16tpa) you should explain tpa and how that is what actually changes your speed rather then just saying 20-30-35 k as many motors dont use that measurement but every motor has a tpa rating.

High torque motor with speed gears improves trigger responce time. Consistency with shots come from the seals between the piston and hop-up. Improved o-rings, higher quality pistons and cylinders, and r-hopping all increase the consistency of your shots and help improve accuracy. I run a 130 spring in my setup for slightly greater range outdoors, but it shot very well with the stock 120.

If you DSG you have to run a stiffer spring, so you'll need a motor that offers more torque to match up.

A Gate Aster or Titan will not only wake up your trigger response, but you could also tune it for shorter pull with a speed trigger. For a motor, you would want a 30k or 35k or higher, but that depends on the velocity/spring you are running. More info is needed but this is the short answer.

I have an Arcturus AR15-lite AT-NY02-CB and I want to shoot faster but I am worried about damaging my gears when I install the infinity motor, do anyone recommend me to install an infinity motor on this réplica with stock gears or I will have to change both??

You can change the motor just by itself, the gears you have should be fine. The only thing you should have to worry about is making sure the motor and gearing are compatible otherwise you'll draw a lot of amps. Maybe consider a 30k motor with an 11.1 battery. And for range you may have to upgrade the inner barrel if you haven't already? Stock can get alright range but if you went to farther a 6.03tightbore or 6.05 wide bore will help alot

My gun in a lancer tactical gen2 metal internal m4, the fps is about 350 to 370 with .20g bbs. I was wanting to speed the fire rate up a touch and a slightly more powerful spring so I can get just up above 400fps with 23.g or 22.g bb. are there any suggestions?

Yes a more capable motor should alleviate that. But before upgrading, make sure everything else is functioning correctly. A broken gear tooth or other factors that make the gun work harder are what contribute to a hot motor grip due to increased electrical draw.

I have a lancer tactical Lt-12 gen 2 I want to upgrade the spring to 430 fps with .2.0 gram bb as we play in heavily wooded areas with large clearings I have the best gun there other than my friend and when I use the 430 fps spring the stock motor drops rpm greatly I don’t know much about the internals but I would like to have more rpm with the 430 fps because a lot of times we will end up close together even by accident and my gun can barely keep up to the 330 fps guns in terms of rpm but I think i will drop down to the stock spring which was 330-380 fps with .2.0 gram until I find a good motor.the m130 spring is what I’m using for 430 fps

If that's an AK you would want the "short" type of the motor you want to get. If it doesn't shoot auto anymore there might be some other problem not relating to the motor.

I’ve got a krytac mkII CRB-M. It’s all stock and I want to get to upgrading it internally. I’d like to eventually modify it for a hair trigger and have been watching some videos on piston component replacements and also saw in the video bearing replacements. Your velocity won't be affected by this. You'd probably want a 40k motor or similar. A 30k is probably more advisable because your magazines will need to keep up with the rate of fire from your upgrades.

@@justanotherasian4395 you can't argue with the facts that lancer tactical is a lower end brand therefore their quality control is out the window not to mention their internals in which corners are cut in all the wrong places, if you wish to argue with a tech and someone with actual experience with such brands I highly recommend you bring some claims to support your opinion- for 40 dollars more he could get a specna arms which is the highest quality beginner gun I've ever seen, do not reccomend any lancer tactical guns to beginners because it will taint their experience with the sport....have a nice day

I live a hour out of Edmonton Alberta and if I was a criminal I could buy real stolen or snuck in across the boarder gun for about 1000 for a handgun and cheap for hunting rifles so how dose this September law that just took place on the 1st of this month. They say the toys we play with look real cus they are black plastic . I can go too the dollar store buy a cap gun for 99 cents . An aftermarket 30k or 35k would be a good start. Trigger response won't be hugely noticeable unless you get 11.1v Lipos and start building up around that (like different gearing ratios). Accuracy can be improved with a better bucking, barrel, and maybe even a better hop up chamber.
