Monk is always best class of DFO. It's very unique among other beat-em-up genre games.

Some notes on the downsides -- Gatling Punch and the new Furious Judgment can be jump cancelled -- cuts straight to final attack for higher short term dps and better mobility. I rarely let them finish. Machine Gun Jab can only be z cancelled, not jump cancelled, so I tend to skip the TP on that one to keep animation short. Also, for most non-gimmicked enemy attacks you might try evasion stacking (Cursed Ruby is a good place for this). Quick Parry + ~ 36% evasion gets you over 100% evasion whenever you're attacking.

Yeah Great points. I honestly forgot to talk about jump canceling all together. To piggyback, I find that it's about the most technical thing about the class. And you can do it on many skills and duck and sway itself to end animations early. And Aside from a few meme level 85 builds I didn't know stacking that high was still possible. opaf D:

duck and sway used to have 0.75 I-frame, but they get nerfed to 0.25 now,,,, maybe lv105 patch they can rework "quick parry" into giving duck/sway a 2 sec i-frame on cast instead of adding 60-70% evasion chance

The reason Monk does not have a lot of i-Frames is because Neople wants you to stack evasion rate with him. Quick Parry gives you a ton of evasion, depending on the skill you use, and successful evasions stack a critical bonus up to 4 times. So they really want you to stack evasion on you Monk to get he bonuses from Quick Parry instead of doing the traditional thing and just giving the class i-Frames.

I thought about mentioning the evasion thing but figured, this was a remnant of old DFO and not actually viable nowadays. He along with Asura. But it looks like there are potentially some legit strats around this which I honestly didn't consider.

There isn't a tier list. The best dps are the characters marked dps/damage/D, the best synergy are marked syn/synergy/S, and the best buffers are the ones marked buff/buffer/B

I just hit 100 with my monk today, you helped me a lot explaining about how his skills work. And more important that glorious talisman that I NEED to get, I was very sad with the monk learning clearing rooms gonna be a pain and then you posted this video, now I'm very happy that I picked the monk. Thank you Rick I love your videos and the love you put in them, always fun to watch! (BTW which weapon epic is the best for monk I'm going to get that juicy +12 from the event)

I am a Monk Main and I have to say this is definitely Informative on what Talismans I should Get when I get my Avenger to Level 100 and Awoken then I can devote My time to getting my Monk As Ready for Sirocco as your that said I'll need to get a Clone Avatar and better Creature first and foremost

Precast swap pet skill then 3A and u got 3 sec to change to the main pet is nice with the monk. without super armor and kinda sucks (keep getting interrupt) .
