Why are people mocking her accent so much? Most Filipinos speak English properly and despite the pronunciation it has clarity there was in no part of the video where you could not understand her. People feel so smart just by judging the accent and pronunciation but forget the purpose of what they're talking about. I myself am not the best, but it's shameful and ignorant to judge just by how they talk. And let's not forget, English is not even her first language, yet the people judging her only speak English themselves. 💀

As a Filipino, I can speak two dialects(Akeanon, Hiligaynon), Filipino, and English. Sometimes it is hard to express your thoughts when speaking to native English speakers. Especially, I still have that habit of translating my mother tongue to English that's why I have that gap time during making a response, and I kind of panic when I got nervous when talking to strangers over the phone or even personally. Oftentimes, I prefer to have a conversation with English native speakers using writing as a medium of communication, since I can edit my response and also I can proofread my grammar before sending an e-mail or message in which I cannot do if I will have an on the spot interview or casual conversation with someone using English.

Maybe I am too much of an over thinker, where while I am speaking my mind is kind of roaming around anywhere. I hope I could focus myself if ever I would get into this situation. I am planning to have the examination in IELTS in the near future. I am hopeful anyway, and trying all my best to practice my english skills wether reading, speaking, listening and writing. I think part 3 would be an example for students going to the university especially reasoning out in social issues related subjects or being able to express yourself in introducing your country and culture in a deeper perspective with your new friends abroad.

@Afi Entezar, same observations here. When I took my IELTS speaking exam a couple of years back, I got a band score of 8.0, although the questions asked, specially part 3, were not as difficult or as tough as with Ms. Tala. Anyway, it's an amazing & very inspiring video

Congratulations on the great result! I'm glad to have been an aid in your success. On the website, you may have noticed the "testimonials" block near the bottom. Unlike many websites out there, we fill this section with real user testimonials and real pictures of those users. Because of your awesome score and feedback, we'd love to be able to use your first name/picture. If you could send us a picture of yourself (face, like the ones on the website), we would be greatly appreciative. Also, please include your nationality. If you are willing, please send this to admin@aehelp.com. This allows us to encourage other students to use our products and reach their goals and dreams. I look forward to getting your picture, nationality, and I wish you the best in your future endeavors.

I'm a Filipino, I failed the speaking test for the US visa screen (required 7). I got 6.5 and requested for remark and there was no change. I underestimated this exam, I thought that it would be easy for me to pass and get my desired score because I have been working as a nurse case manager (USRN) health coach for years. I have been speaking with American patients for years. I was confident about my speaking skills. however, for some reason, I failed this test. lesson learned. Now I am learning some strategies on how to get a score of 7 on IELTS speaking.

sometimes my mom fry the pork first before boiling in soy sauce so i think it really depends on how you cook your adobo other people have different ways of cooking. I was actually surprised that some people add gata or coconut milk to their adobo

I tried these mock tests. It pisses me off that this test might be the one the drops my scores significantly compared to listening, reading and writing, which I think I can get at least band 7 (6 with writing). While I can speak the language with fluency, the way the questions and discussion segments are structured causes me to have these mental blocks that prevents me from speaking continuously. It's really frustrating!

Excuse me, but I notice there are some mistakes on her pronunciation. Correct me if I’m wrong. But she pronounced “whether” as “wi-ther”. Another thing, she pronounced “comfortable” as “com-for-ta-ble”. Isn’t it like “kuhmf-tr-bl”? It has 4 syllables and you should put the stress on the first syllable, not give all the syllable with the same stress

probably if it's a filipino interviewer, they would give this lady a lower band score....good thing the interviewer is a foreigner (in the philippines) who gave more emphasis on the ability of the person to express her thoughts rather than being very critical on "correct grammar"..... when I took the IELTS, there were rumors about filipino interviewers being more critical on interviewees ...just sayin

The interview isn't being graded by the examiner in front of you, but is sent to an examiner in a different location so that there is no scouring bias. Don't worry about the examiner too much - focus on your goal. Learn more at www.aehelp.com/full-course/.
